Too much fantasy

Some of what I think is BS just seems obvious to me. But sometimes you never know. Truth can be stranger than fiction, so I try to give everyone the benefit of doubt . However if my BS meter goes off too many times, I’ll pretty much write off everything I’ve read by that person as pure fantasy.

 

That is a good point I think about most here, it’s not spoken out loud much, but I don’t post too much about the mundane details of our daily lives.

So if someone read my journals and thought “this guy lives and breathes this stuff and is in constant role play with his wife” he would be greatly misinformed. Most nights are watching tv together and her falling asleep on the couch cause she’s not a fan of most of the stuff I watch. A foot rub usually sneaks its way in there but that only makes her drift off all that much faster.

Agreed. I have only posted the truth here, and yet there are things that my wife has said and done, some of which I have posted here, that I wouldn't believe if it hadn't happened to me. Real talk doesn't hurt, if anything it is a welcomed reprieve for us VFs. I know my biggest struggle with chastity and my partner is when it isn't immediately related to sex. Today is a fine example. I woke up with her, packed her lunch, made her coffee, hauled her stuff and briefcase to her car, and kissed her goodbye as she went to work. Bravo, @LesterBallard and @charles. Some days I look at what's posted here and wonder why I stop in at all. Just read this thread above and notice all the people who hijack into their own fantasy world. Now THAT is meta.

The troubling thing is that some of the fantasists do all they can to cloak their B.S. Most fail spectacularly, but a few come a bit closer to pulling it off. Not sure what the attraction is for anyone over 12 years old. If these folks are called out, though, it has to be with absolute kid gloves. Even then, their insecurity may explode and they still might go berserk. Responding to some folks here is as enjoyable as a lovely Sunday evening stroll in a beautiful meadow... that contains an unknown number of land mines.

Things have been tight for me too.

That said, you don’t always have to pay to do things. And other things aren’t very expensive. Munches aren’t very expensive. And getting together with kinky friends only costs whatever you make for a pot luck.

Sometimes I think we isolate ourselves without realizing it. Personally I work hard not to. But it’s a constant battle as I now live out in the country so even going to munches requires planning. But it’s worth it.
