Yes, also wouldn't hurt for drug stores to carry a basic (bird cage, or CB styles?) device in a few different sizes with 3 or 4 ring sizes included. I was just thinking about OPs question today. I just got my cage Friday night and today is the first time I am wearing it outside of the house. It's been on since midnight and I am currently at work with it. 16hrs and counting so far. If you apply the Pareto principle to femdom instead of chastity (essentially independence), then I'd argue of those who practice serious BDSM at least half would do chastity. Look at any FLR/femdom Reddit channel it's essentially all chastity and pegging.

Generally, male domination is more prevalent, so 50% femdom might be an over-estimation.

Also, don't underestimate the share of singles and the lack of communication in relationships.

I'm not surprised! What's interesting about chastity as a fetish is it has no obvious origin other than being made aware of chastity devices.

 

Judging by the turn over rate here, I would say just as many people quit or give up on chastity, as new people start wearing one.

Each new person probably experimented and bought 5-10 cages. That’s where the semi false data comes in. Yes there are many cages being sold, but many to the same people. As they quit, stop buying cages, others start and buy many. I don’t think it’s as mainstream as people here would like.

It has gotten more common and known. I belong to some kik groups. I mention I am caged quite often, they know what I’m talking about, even in groups that are not centered around anything about it. More awareness. Still I would guess it’s a lot of buying devices and tossing devices.

 

I started by being interested in bondage, a long time before chastity ever entered my mind.
