So... first day of chastity went pretty well--once I got the blasted cage on. The one I bought is comfortable--and my balls warmed up after a bit; no circulation problem there. The cage is a royal pain to get into, though. It has these two prongs that position the shaft portion into the ring that is behind the scrotum. It is really easy to hook a little skin on those buggers.

In spite of it all, I'm finding it to be living up to expectations. Interestingly, as soon as I finally got the thing on my wife asked, "Where's my key?" To my surprise, I think my uber-vanilla wife is getting into this. We'll see!

My question: There are two keys, presumably one for the key holder and one for emergencies. How do people deal with the emergency key? I want an emergency key in case something weird happens, but I need some way that it is clear that I have used it. I read about freezing it in an ice cube, but if I was desperate I could easily work around that. I'd like something that makes it obvious that I unlocked myself.

I'm sure some of you creative folks have figured something out, so please share!

    I use a timesafe,
it's made of plastic, so it could theoretically be destroyed to get the key.
...But it should be pretty obvious that the safe has been destroyed, especially if your keyholder marks it in some way that you could not replicate if you replaced the safe.

You can also just get a numbered security tag big enough to punch a hole in the fob part.

    Emergency key ..
I initially had an Emergency Key lying around at home ....

Is it a key you always carry in your pocket?

When do you plan to use such an Emergency Key?

But what if I drive 150 Km away from home and I want to use this "Emergency Key"
and who decides that it is an ok / legal ??

I have given up having an Emergency Key ...

We have purchased locks with 4 keys, one in the safe, one around her neck, one in a sealed envelope in my wallet, and the last in a glues screw glass jar in the kitchen. I know it sounds like easy access, but I better never ever use the one in my wallet unless my life is in danger, I don’t have the combination for the safe, the jar I always visible, and she really has the key. Penalty for using, no more chastity cage of the lifestyle.

The easiest and simplest method, in my opinion, is that she writes something on a piece of paper, folds the key into the paper, and then tapes that up. You pop that safely in your wallet to keep with you at all times.

It's slim and not bulky, easy to get to, and tamper evident.

Key safes are wonderful little things, during times I've been key held it has worked a treat. The keyholder can set the combination and in the event of an emergency they can text you the combination and then reset it whenever they next meet you. They are small and not overly heavy, can be popped in a backpack or bag whenever you go out.

    An example one.

We use an ice cube in the back of the freezer. Put the key in the middle. Held in place by a small string so it perfectly centered. my idea. I am so smart sort of

I too like idea of a small lockbox, like realtors use to hold keys. They can also facilitate lock up periods for sites, like Emlalock, so someone can control your keys remotely.

My emergency key is on a tiny gold choker necklace around my neck. Mistress crazy-glued the latch shut, so, if needed in an emergency, the necklace can be ripped off and broken. I have not had to use it and after a while, I haven't even noticed that its there.

We use it for a year now and works perfect. I own the key in my keysafe at home and he has the emergency key in his wallet. No way to cheat !

If you are interested I will print and sell you a an emergency-key-container with the inprinted key. I own a few magic locks for Holytrainer etc. with two keys. And you can choose your favorite colors.

same here! No emergency keys, my device has 2 locks, each has its own key. One set is in my madams purse or her bedroom safe, and there is a back upset in a safe place (I don’t know where) at the mother in laws house.

Hey, thanks for the offer. At the moment I'm still trying out devices and I'm not sure how that is going to play out. The bottom of the ring seems to irritate the back-side of my ball sack. I'm hoping that will toughen up a bit with time.

I like using the plastic tabs, but on a chastity key safe, or key locker. That way it is always available, but show evidence of tampering. They sell them on etsy for about 5-10 dollars. But you can also just use a piece of pvc tubing. Drill a hole near the top, drop the key in and secure with the chastity tab.

At some point, we concluded with the key holder that the spare key should be available to the slave in case of extreme situations. I built something with Dog & Bone Lock Smart lock and small steel box that my owner can conveniently control with a mobile phone. The spare key is in that little steel box. I have one unlock enabled all the time, so I can unlock that Lock Smart lock, if necessary, on my own mobile phone. However, this will immediately inform my owner. My owner can see the location and the time of opening. The whole is convenient and travels with me, for example, on business trips, etc. If I opened the lock without permission or without reasonable cause and explanation, I would be in great trouble.

If you have a normal padlock, watch this, then ask yourself "Why do I need access to a key?"

I dont think you can do it too often but during longer periods of self locking in my early days I put my key into a large bottle, filled up with water and then put in the freezer. It stopped any impulse unlockings but could get the key (not swifty!) but obviously could wait to thaw out, or put in a warm place or over some heat to speed things up!

Good luck with the Wife getting more interested too.

    This.

Always best to have the key on you, especially in cast of medical emergency. My KH uses two big stickers back to back with the key between them.

I am also in the taped up and signed spare in my wallet camp. However, I did get threatened recently with having the spare locked around my own neck.
