There is evidence that chastity is growing. If it is, signs of that growth should start appearing in the general culture. Here are a few that we might expect to see -- if growth is happening and continues to happen. 1) At least minimal references in sex education books. 2) I would expect to see chastity consultants opening businesses in large cities. The core business of these would be helping couples decide on what they want -- like belts vs. cage -- and, most importantly, helping clients get the right fit. They would also give talks, publish, and generally promote the practice. 3) sex therapists will start to understand who could use it and who to recommend it to. 1) and 2) might be combined. 4) casual references to chastity in general interest books, movies, and plays. 5) Sophisticated parents will discuss the practice with their teenage kids. Sons will get cages on their sixteenth or eighteenth birthdays -- perhaps as part of a ceremony; daughters will be taught not to put out unless their partner gives them a key and accepts their control. That might make up the core of another ceremony. What else???

The majority of chastity play is a kink item on par with handcuffs and fuzzy pink blindfolds. It's pretty much already there, or getting there, in my opinion. There are already keyholding services (re: bullet 2) and a sex therapist should be well aware of even basic D/s relationships already (bullet 3). Bullets 1 and 5 are just projecting fantasies (no disrespect, but it's true). Bullet 4: it will never be less embarrassing than admitting you love being a bottom. It might be mentioned by debauchers, like myself , in certain contexts but these kinds of people are increasingly being censored/silenced (in some places, in other places they're getting louder; it's strange).
I do notice it is becoming more popular, for example in r/CouplesChastity on Reddit, there are always new posters - not long ago it was the same core posters with different pictures.

I’ve been here longer than most folks so here is thoughts from an old timer. Chastity is growing in popularity. Attitudes about sex and kink are changing. Kids learn and see much more than ever before. What OP has posted has been said before. Most of it in fantasy threads but a tiny bit in honest discussions. Personally I’m not sure where the line is. Moderators decide that. I will say if we think teenagers don’t know about kinks or chastity we have our heads in the sand. I’m glad our kids are older as I wouldn’t want to have to manage what they’re exposed to now and figure out how to deal with it. I guess my thoughts are devices will improve. I can even see electronics and web enabled devices in the not too distant future. Likewise for more secure and comfortable devices. After that I’m not sure what to think. But I can see some wanting to use them on teens, I won’t argue if it’s right or wrong as that’s a long complex discussion. One that will get fast and ugly fast. But I know once folks want to do something then how it’s done gets into society. And that brings change. And that change will accelerate. So I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing these issues come up in the next few years more frequently and more seriously. Until then, I think we should look at now as the good old days as in a decade or two where we are will seem as quaint as when this site started and the CB2000 being the first mass produced device!
