Suggestion: Hide certain subforums for unregistered visitors

What if she then joins the site to find out more, then finds these previously hidden subforums? Would she be more or less likely to think she was being deceived about what chastity is "really" all about?

 

I think this is a very good idea . Even after knowing about my interest in chastity for many years , my wife is still not too interested in it . Occasionally she shows an interest and we talk . The thought of chastity is just acceptable to her . At this stage she would probably shut down completely if she thought I was trying to promote cross dressing and cuckolding.

I think a gentle intro to chastity is a good idea and if she is interested enough to join she may not be so intimidated by other subjects .

 

You would still have the problem of the 'recent posts', which is a likely way to view this site. I remember when the furor over using locked male bits as avatars was raging. On the 'recent posts' page that had a link to that discussion were links to threads on cuckolding, golden showers and consumption of one's semen. LOL.

 

This is a problem I have, if I tried to get my vanilla wife to do some research on this site. If she's struggling to understand a chastity device and doesn't really get light kinks... and I point her to a website where men are 'boasting' that their partners are having sex with other men whiles they watch helplessly and how small and useless their own penis has become after being caged for a year. She is going to run a mile from here.... and from me also!!

I need to be clear, these aren't my direct turn-ons but I don't mined reading (or skipping) these posts. We're all wired up differently and we're all consenting adults.

There are some excellent posts I'd love to show her like the recent one about low sex drive and others generic ones where women have said "help... my man has said he wants to be locked up...what does this mean and what do I do now?"

I don't known if anything can be done? Could these vanilla friendly posts be linked to a separate page where it's not then possible to access the main site?

 

I agree it's a good idea and I also believe some topics can be a turn off to women and men too.

 

By registered, we mean anyone with a valid username and password? or "verified" as in Verified Female?

 

It rather depends on what one would like one's wife or partner to look at.

Chastity play can take many forms before it gets sidetracked into something that involves the addition of another kink. Would it not be more appropriate to introduce the idea of male chastity to her then let her explore that ..... before confusing the issue for her with talk of sissy's cross-dressing fem dom DS re;ationships FLRs and you being fucked by the guy that you brought home to fuck her.

Yes by all means shelter the newly curious from the excesses or extremes of male chastity at least until they are curious enough to join.

My Lady has her reasons for not joining and one of those is the more extreme or as she says depraved kinks are a big turn off for her. She is not very tolerant of what she calls the bizzare and sees no reason to be.

 

I LOVE this idea. Yes, I think the kinky sections should be invisible at first, probably the fiction section as well.

 

Maybe not the fiction.... it can be the fiction that gets some people hooked.


And lets be honest well know some of the things some people tell us are at best embellishments of the truth and some are unadmitted fantasy or fiction. So who would you have sort out where everything should go?

 

I think for women sent here by their husbands, it's best to stick with real stories at first. Stories marked as fiction, which can veer into porn fantasy or darker kink, might scare curious women off.

 

How about adding an option to a registered user's profile that allows them to turn on those "for registered users only areas" individually? That way, the less kink-friendly new members can still be shielded from the hard stuff until they opt-in.

 

a lot of the posts on the main threads are more fictitious than the stories on the fiction thread, so I'm not certain what would be achieved by hiding it.

Could we have a "For Prospective Keyholders" section that was very strongly vetted by the mods. Not saying they are failing at present, but we all know that lots of completely fantasty-based posts are left unchallenged. In that area we would want to ensure the posts were strictly vetted so no spurious rubbish was allowed.
