It's been very recent that I was informed I must go a full year.....almost never. I have still not fully digested it.

Just to be clear, I'm in permanent chastity right now, but I do expect this phase to end within a year or so.

Yes.

It hasn't as yet. We were already doing long term chastity with few breaks. I think Xena may have become more casually dominant, but it's hard to measure.

 

Its been over a hundred days since my last O. Initially thought it would only be a month until my next one. My Domme has gone missing, so unsure of next step. A little over 4 years. The last full orgasm was Dec. 2, 2016.

Mistress never gave any indication if it would be my last, but it seems to me that it may be. One never knows, and I know better than to ask.

The last ruined orgasm she allowed was a little over 1 year ago, Dec. 10, 2020. She didn't say it would be last but she did say it would be my last for a very long while.

3. How as you life and relationship changes since?

While I miss orgasms, I do not miss the mood drop that happens afterward. As I get older (late 60s now), that drop has gotten worse and takes longer to recover from. There could also be a psychological component or some behavior modification from orgasm control conditioning over the past 16 years - where I feel guilty for cumming, or something like that.

I do find that I am able to channel or redirect that unreleased sexual energy into other life activities. Currently, we have a long-distance relationship, but before (when it was a "short-distance" relationship), I was able to use that energy for work service for her and for being her pain slut, as she wanted me to be. I do miss that aspect or outlet for my energy & devotion, though.

Orgasm control & denial has also fueled a lot of introspection, wondering why I do this - seeing both pluses and perhaps minuses. But mostly I feel this has enriched my life.

We had played with chastity off and on for 20 years, always for long term periods (weeks to months at a time).

I last had a full, PIV orgasm about three years ago. We don't remember exactly when, because at the time we didn't expect it to become perman... err, such an extended situation. It just sort of evolved that way. About ten months into it, I mentioned that we were coming up on a year, and she said that I should be prepared to keep going. We did, right into another year. Permanent chastity is a distinct thing, true, a badly labelled distinct thing, but still a distinct thing. Given that permanent can simply mean stable, indelible, or not easily removed the label in current usage is actually more accurate than "chastity device" since our devices do not actually ensure chastity, and are mostly used for unchaste purposes.

I beg to differ. The concept and description of a "chastity device" is easily recognizable: A device (belt, trapped testicle cage, piercing anchored tube, etc.) that prevents the wearer from some degree of cheating or self abuse (yes, I'm going all Victorian here). While in practice, the designs generally aren't perfect (for their intended purpose), I'd argue that the concept is easily understood. If you told somebody who had no prior knowledge of them "Hey, I'm wearing a chastity device," they would immediately have some idea of what that device was supposed to do, even if they had no idea what it looked like.

In contrast, while the term "permanent" has several connotations, the most commonly understood usage is "lasting or intended to last, or remain unchanged indefinitely." Assigning a time limit to the word creates an oxymoronic expression, like "Jumbo shrimp," or "Microsoft Works.* "

If you've been following the Caged/Denial Matrix threads (and why hasn't the latest one been turned into a sticky post?), it's easy to see that we barely, as a community, can even agree on the simple aspects. This group has weekly questions on things like "If I remove my cage for cleaning, do I have to stop my count and start over?" or "I was unlocked for a plane flight, does that break my streak?"

Personally, I would like to suggest that we just drop the term, except that the connotation of "permanent" is too hot (in the sexy way) , and people love to fantasize over it. Even Mrs Edge and I enjoy our fantasy about it, and we know better.

So, I'm fine for using "permanent" as meaning "some indefinite time," because that is a common usage. However, i take umbrage at the use of "permanent" coupled with a time period, because it renders the term meaningless at best, and downright silly at worst.

I prefer the term “Full Time” chastity. Much like a full time employee, you get authorized breaks and time off. Maybe.

I agree. There are so many words that can express what most of us are talking about that the use of "permanent" seems silly.

I spend at least a third of my days OUT of a chastity device. Yet, I am chaste on those days too.

Is a married man "permanent"? I am a permanent husband now. Seems weird.

Ah, I get you. The one thing is that I think this runs up against the need to be realistic and honest in threads like this, otherwise you run into the opposite problem of unrealistic claims to the perpetual, and more importantly giving false information about emotions and relationships: I can't honestly claim to believe I've had my last orgasm ever.

Also, though I agree there isn't a consensus on what isn't permanent chastity, most people seeing a sealed lock, a rivet or permalocker variation would agree that that counts.

@Lazlo Toth is right that there are more specific and accurate terms. Would "sealed" immediately convey what I'm talking about?

 

My last full orgasm was on the 2nd May 2020. I had a ruined one on the 2nd August 2020 and nothing since.
I did not know in August that it was the last one but I feel much better now that I know I won't be allowed an penile orgasm again. I was really our decision and it is quite freeing to know there is nothing to expect from it ever again. I can just move on and enjoy other aspects of life.
