Make sure when you measure do it multiple times some places like mature metals sends sizing rings for free for the a ring They Re not cheap but when done right you don’t know it’s there I go to gym work basketball and never notice it unless aroused
Welcome to the Mansion! For any kind of long term wear, it's essential that it be comfortable and that is a function sizing the device correctly. There's three components to fit - base ring size, cage/tube size, and gap. The base ring should be snug but not tight and you should be able to get the tip of your small finger between the ring and your body. Many devices use a simple, flat ring made round stock. Others curve that base slightly (when viewed from the side), allowing it to better match the contour of the body. Some others use flat stock that is not only curved but also shaped - sometimes called an "anatomical" ring. There is no right or wrong, just what works for you. Understanding that because we're all different, what works for me might not work for you. With "ball trap" devices, when you become erect your penis pushes the cage/tube away from your body taking the base ring and your testicles with it. Most men find a smaller cage/tube more comfortable because a smaller cage/tube helps curb an erection, minimizing discomfort. Ideally you want the overall length of the device to match the length of your normally flaccid penis. It's a good idea to measure several times over a couple of days because even flaccid penises change size. Some sites will tell you to measure your penis and then subtract some distance to take into account the space that is occupied by the base ring and locking mechanism. Especially with some of the knock-off Chinese devices, that distance isn't always shown and can vary by 10 or more millimeters. In that case, look to see if they offer an overall length and use that. If you have a choice between slightly smaller and slightly larger, go smaller. The final component is "gap," the area where you scrotum passes though, and it's the most challenging because there is no way to measure yourself. Basically it's three dimensional space created by the space left in the base ring after subtracting the area of the cage/tube and the space between base ring and cage/tube. Too loose and a testicle can pop out (ouch!), too tight and blood flow to the testicles can be hindered resulting in swelling. Only the custom makers even mention it as an option but for "off the rack" buyers it's a bit of a guessing game. Hope this helps and don't be afraid to ask question or join in a discussion!
With so many cheap knockoff devices available you should figure out what works best before going custom. I have gone through 4 of those and will be ordering a custom device from Evotion next week. It gave me a better idea of what worked and what did not (balltrap are no go for me). We also had a chance to find out if my KH and I were serious without much cost. We are making it a long term lifestyle change, getting pierced tomorrow. Just my two cents worth. BTW welcome to a great community. Fairly new here also.

I was much easier than I thought it would be. Almost pain and blood free. It is amazing that I went almost 57 years without a piercing or tattoo then got one in a rather delicate spot in order to move into a better chastity device.
