I heard they were going to make a series of star wars movies about the attempts to clone Vader and one that turned on him.

I believe there are books with that premise but will acknowledge I do not keep up with all the subplots that have been written.

    Sounds interesting though.

I saw Wonder Woman with my son which was great, and I finally got to see Guardians of The Galaxy vol2 at a small independent cinema in Germany with my Wife, and that was brilliant. Baby Groot completely stole the show.

I'm desperately hoping that the new Blade Runner doesn't do anything to ruin the original.

I'm curious to know, do you watch the films in German or do they have any English language showings?

I do watch German films in German at home but as I am very much a beginner in this language I watch with subtitles. I am determined to try to not let my life direction be determined by isolationist brexiteers so I have two years to get to a point where I can turn off the subtitles. Big films I watch at English showings more because I prefer to hear the original actors voices and see words that match the sounds, instead of dubbed films where the lips move to different sounds than the words you hear.

I watched the movie "A man called Ove" last night on prime. I was pleasantly surprised. I normally don't watch those kinds of movies but it was rated very well. I didn't care for the subtitles. It was definitely a feel good movie.

Mistress Lucy. great video, made me giggle. i can't wait for the next instalment! is it going to be the Return of the Pedi-(cure)?

Last film i saw at the movies was Logan, not a bad ending to the franchise but recently watched the Duke of Burgundy on DVD and that was an excellent film.

@LadyS, The Hustler is one of my all-time favourite films - probably one of my 'Desert Island' movies, along with The Last Picture Show. The Hustler goes way beyond being a great movie about pool hustlers, it's a metaphor for life.

Anybody care to nominate their 10 favourite movies? Only one Star Wars episode per customer! Any era.

All time favorites of mine include Nikita, a French film about a woman drug addict trained to be an assasin, that was remade into a godawful Hollywood remake. Another is Delicatessen, a really dark French comedy about a post apocalyptic house with a rather odd butcher. The bed spring scene is one of the funniest I have ever seen.

Then there is Leon. Slightly uncomfortable age gap but that adds to the tension. Also Run, Lola, Run, a German film that inspired Sliding Doors.

I've already mentioned Blade Runner which is my top all time favourite.

I remember watching this movie for the first time in grade 9 and it changing the way I looked at the world.
I don't believe I knew what big brother was. I was a naive child with little knowledge or real life experience.
I still think about that movie often.

In 1963 I experienced two life-changing events: the first was I heard The Beatles for the first time and the second was I went to the cinema to see Elizabeth Taylor in 'Cleopatra'. For months afterwards all I could think about was being one of her personal slaves. I still find the movie an extraordinary experience, it's as magnificent and beautiful as Elizabeth Taylor herself ... and it went very close to bankrupting 20th Century Fox. I think Elizabeth Taylor went close to bankrupting a few more before she was done.
