Decided to try chastity. Just getting started, have two cheap cages to see what it is like. Neither are comfortable and I cannot wear them overnight. Not sure if I'm going to be into it enough to spend the money on a better or custom cage.
@Hig4s it always a bit uncomfy when you first have one lock on you and some cages am horrible to wear a long time and you migt have got some like them but some am ok and if you want then folks on here will tell you the comfy ones. i see you new one so welcome to here and i hope you like it here as well.
Could you post more info about the 2 cages that you bought as we might be able to share some insight on them. If they are the plastic CB style cages, yeah, they're crap. As for overnight, yeah, most guys don't realize that they get nocturnal erections (because they're usually asleep at the time) but if you're wearing a cage at night you'll find that out. If you want tips on how to deal with that, let me know.
Yes, they are plastic CB type. One is adjustable so the base ring opens. I can wear it pretty much all day, but it is so bulky I have not tried to sleep in it. The other is a cheap copy of the Evotion cage 8. But it is too small and pinches, so can't be used very long. Looking at the Evotion Orion, but not planning to spend anymore until I'm sure I'm sticking with it. Figure if I'm still into it in 6 months I'll ask the wife to get me a custom one for our anniversary.
My first one was an adjustable CB style cage, it was awful and I returned it. I typically recommend HT style resin cages for folks just starting out as they're comfortable and come with several base rings, so you can see what fits. and as well as the cage that @Chaz69 has showed you . them ones dose more size and theres is a teeny one if you not very big. and he is rigt cos they am nice and comfy.
The problem I'm having is I need a large, minimum of 52mm, ring for it to be comfortable to wear for any length of time, and the size of my testicle are average to small. So on both of my current cages, with larger rings, when I'm just trying to do normal activities, eventually I pop out of the ring. Does anyone know on the ht-v4 standard, with the large ring, what the ring gap is?
How did you determine that you need 52mm? If you keep popping out, that pretty much confirms that your ring is too large.
Anything smaller than 52 starts to hurt after a couple of hours and I just can't keep it on, even just the ring and nothing else.
When you have your 52mm ring on, try feeling around the back of it with your fingers to see if there's enough of a gap to stick your fingers in. My guess is there will be and that confirms that it's too big and that's the same space your balls are using to slip out.
I cannot even get on any ring under 48, and as I said, anything under 52 becomes too painful to keep on. I'm not interested in being in continual pain. If any one has info on a cheaper cage that has a ring gap of 18mm or less with a 54 to 56 ring I would appreciate it. If not I'll stick with what I have and just doing one day of chastity at a time until I decide if I'm willing to spend money on a custom cage.
Most cages on ebay seem to offer 40/45/50 as the ring sizes, I haven't seen any with larger rings (though I haven't particular looked for them).

Managed to get tge adjustable cage down to 50mm ring and keep it on all day. Just barely able to get a finger tip in the bottom, so it appears 50 is the right size for me. Still pretty uncomfortable with the notches from the adjustable section rubbing, and the hinge point occasionally pinching. But even managed a first day out in public wearing. Went to lunch and to a store. I have a new cage ordered, an HT style as reccomended, it should be here today.
My wife and I are starting to modify the length of time I am in the cage and when I wear it. Sometimes daily activities just make it impossible a nd impracticable to wear. There is no need to cause harm. Even when I am not wearing it the rules don't change for my role in a FLR and our chastity contract. I am her to serve at her pleasure. If I break the rules there are consequences.
Do you have any rubber tubbing? If so, maybe you could put a piece over the hinge to stop it pinching.
Just got the HT style cage. Was harder to get on than I expected. There are some sharp edges on the slide lock part, and while they don't touch anything once on, you have to be careful while putting it on. Using the biggest ring and the gap is plenty small enough to keep my testicle from pulling out. Only had it on a few minutes but so far way more comfortable than either of the others.
I had to do a LOT of filing and sanding on my HT's so that they didn't hurt while trying to put them on, but once you've smoothed out the edges, they're no problem.
