Congrats! Be patient with the fit, it may take a few sizes or models before you find the best one, but it looks like you got the right length if you were completely flaccid in the photo. I’ve read on one site that you should barely be able to get your pinky finger tip between the ring and your body. I’m a grower too and have always been able to get out of the tube if I put my mind to it and I’ve had cheap and expensive ones. The only one that came close to escape proof for my anatomy was the holy trainer 5, but I prefer stainless to resin.

As others have said; Vaseline or Coconut oil on the cage ring a few times a day, and after shower - is probably going to help solve any ring irritation.

 

A ring that’s too large will move around a little more than a more snug fit. Any movement causes friction and irritation.
A tighter ring will help solve that problem somewhat. I would also advise an ergonomic curved ring, it’s fits better and has more surface area against the skin. It helps.

I don’t agree with the others on here, Vaseline, lube, coconut oil. They all aid in movement which ultimately is counter productive. As you have a baby, you undoubtedly have the product you need already: barrier (nappy rash) cream! A little smear of that on the underside of your balls will feel like heaven!

A word of warning though, for the first few weeks the pain through the night can be almost unbearable. There’s different views on how to get past it but your body will need time to adjust. Switching your cage, taking breaks, it all can make this period go on longer.
