Messed up this morning. I had an ultrasound scheduled to check for kidney stones. My bride left for work before i got up and took the key with her. Didn't think to much of it as i've had these before and dont require disrobing or examination. Procedure has changed a bit and this time they checked my bladder as well to see if it was filling properly. The tech rested her arm as she was working and the cage. She got kinda of a funny look at first then asked if it was steel or plastic. OH my did i turn red. I apologized profusely, explaining it was not my intention to expose anyone to that. She smirked, said it was okay and not the first she'd come across. Went right back to what she was doing. When i left she told me not to worry and take care. Good news is I don't have a big stone and not blockage. Bad news is I'm still embarrassed and feeling really guilty. i wonder if there will be a note in my chart now? This falls under medical privacy stuff i hope. Texted my wife and she said we'll have to come up with a better system so there is a key available for stuff like this. I'm thinking tamper proof tape or something of that sort. Should I make an effort to apologize again or just drop it?
