So I'm getting to the point now where I can keep my cage on for days at a time and am nervously approaching the time in which I give over the key to my wife for good.

One question, how do you guys get around having an emergency key?

It seems necessary to me at this point to have a key, but I don't want it to be usable without some form of obvious tampering. I would also like to be able to keep it on me, in my wallet for example.

Would love to know what you guys do and / or how you get around it.

    Much love!

When I used to have access to an emergency key, she wrote a nice note on a card, and laminated the key on the card. Laminator cost is about 15 bucks. I kept the key in my wallet and if it was used it would ruin the card and she would know.

That does seem a very sensible option, you want to be able to remove it in an emergency but not without your Mistress knowledge?

Same type of deal, piece of newspaper with the date on it and she wrote her initials on it. layed the spare key on it and wrapped it with clear packing tape. It has been in there so long I even forget it is there. Changed to a new wallet and found it, I had forgot all about it.

Hmm! Don't have one! Mrs Chaste is away this weekend and I know exactly where the key is. Its locked in her keysafe and I have no idea what the combination is! I'm completely at her mercy!

I bought one of these. We use a heart padlock to lock the key inside. In an emergency the plastic could be broken. Also the key to the padlock is heart shaped so it looks better on a necklace. il_570xN.1119689593_c63r-1.jpg

I bought it from a private seller on etsy.
Site won't let me post link.
Do a Google image search for emergency chastity key holder and it pops up.

My wife worries that I might have an accident and wind up in the hospital with no way to get the cage off me, so she insists I keep the second key with me. Its in a sealed envelope with her signature over the seal. I can access it but I'd better have a real emergency to justify it!

That could make a cool pendent. Most likely would get questions asked about that one.

I'm retired and Mistress works, so I am alone in my lingerie most weekdays. Mistress bought me a tight little gold chain necklace, put the spare key on it, closed the clasp and the glued the clasp shut wit crazy glue. In an emergency, I could simply break the chain and have the key. It proves to be another torment for me to know that the key is right there in plain sight, but sooooo far away!

She keeps the spare somewhere at work. I stopped worrying about it a year ago. She's going to Europe for 10 days and has already told me she'll take the key with her. Back when i was worried about having access, I'd thought about freezing the key in a large pan of water and keeping it in the freezer. It would be easy to get it out if needed but it would take a few hours to re-create it.

it does not have an emergency key. it must contact Mistress and ask for the combination to Her key safe in a case of a true emergency. it has only needed to do that once in the past 6 years.

My wife and I just recently started this journey together. I have been on the honor system for a week and I have been locked up for 48 hours in a purple HT v3.

My wife insisted on an emergency key for me if I leave the house for an extended period of time. But she wanted to ensure that if the key was used then there would be evidence of such.

Using my Macgyver skills, I rigged a simple emergency key container that cost a total of $2.

I bought a hide a key box from Wal-Mart for $1.49 and used a single use lock that came with a POS SB600 knockoff that was a waste of money. I drilled two holes into the box and presto, a nice secure emergency key container. My wife tried for 10 minutes to get the key out without taking off the lock. No Luck :)

Very well said. When we first start chastity we think everything could be an emergency. In my almost 8 years of being locked I've never needed an emergency key. If I have an accident and have to go to the hospital my wife would be the first person to be called and if the doctor or nurse saw my cage, I don't think it would change my life that much.

Your cage is apart of who you are.

Well I with my wife except at work. There we've placed a lock box with keypad. The digest for the lock are stored at a Google drive file. Accessing the folder generate a mail to my wife.

if you share a roof every night I could not agree more.
The cant wait need need can arise if you live separately or one of you works away from home. these though are more hygiene / maintenance keys.
Real emergencies trust me hospitals cope.
A split cage, the CB XXXX were well known for that, you need a key NOW PLEASE ...funny perhaps but its no joke

They do make small have to be broken once closed plastic boxes ... not small enough though to be everyday carry practical.

A small card with your KH's writing on it fold it over the key then tape it up. removing the tape will damage the writing. for everyday carry put it in your wallet or put an eyelet through it and put it on your keyring.

(ms.b) the reason jb has a emergency key is because he drives for uber o. the weekends and I am away from home and sometime an hr or two hrs. depending on the weekend ... so he has it with him... I trust him not to mess with it ..... if he does his wallet will pay for it.... hehe

Accidents can happen. Of course you don't expect to be in a car crash, domestic accident, be assaulted by a crazed coworker, fall off a ladder, slip on the ice, or even just fall ill or faint. But emergency rooms are full of people who didn't expect whatever brought them there, and if you're going to need the cage removed for treatment or examination, best that you can do so quickly.
