A contract might be helpfull in the beginning, when you are new to all this as it can establish a basis where you can make experiences quite safely, but to us rigrh now strict set rules would be just restraining. We do not need this kind of safety net anymore and our relationship is still evolving so that written down rules would have to be changed on a regular basis....

Yes, we have a contract which is only written and edited by her.
It is super helpful because:

- it helps her writing down her desires and expectations, often when we go through tough times

- because I agreed that I want to be in a FLR (which is developed according to hear speed and needs) there is one rule, which says, that if she wants something I have to say yes! Which also counts if she adds rules

- I am bit ashamed but ... It get a bit horny when I read through those lines.

But I think that a contract will always be something which is in some kind of draft mode and which should be reviewed (by her) from time to time.

These two points are why I think there is value in writing a contract. However, I think actually enforcing the minutia if you've gone that far is a mistake and turns what should be fun into a chore which makes nobody happy.

if your in a ssc relationship then the contract has little meaning for the bottom has the final say in everything. if your in a nonconsenual consent relationship the contract is everything. since i enjoy the latter i wrote a 6 page contract that never needed an adjustment and has lasted decades but then it was written to last a lifetime.
