    In the gym this evening, I noticed the woman next to me putting on an ankle bracelet with a particular and familiar kind of key on it, then putting her sock on over it. She saw that I'd noticed and I laughed and said something about 'better safe than sorry with keys'. She said "Yes, gotta keep it safe", and she laughed too but I could tell she was jumpy. Part of me wanted to show her my necklace (I always wear the key bit low enough to be out of sight) but I didn't quite have the courage. I suppose her key could be for something else entirely but it made me grin.

    I'm pretty sure I'd recognise her - she and I often go in the mornings on weekdays when the gym is empty - I guess she works shifts as well, but privacy is super important for us and might be for her too. It's tempting to just let my key show at some point but I'm nervous about that and probably won't. Sal

    It looked like the standard key that fits those little brass inserts. Same as mine did before My Pete sawed off the top, filed it and drilled a little hole so it's much more discreet! Sal

    The decision to unveil is not an easy one.

    There is the right apprehension in revealing such an intimate detail, but there is also the desire for confrontation with someone so as to walk this unknown path with greater serenity.

    You have Laura, which is no small thing, but while she is a strong and interesting presence, I can imagine you still have the curiosity to confront other people, perhaps softer and less dominating than Laura.

    As usual it is impossible to give advice, but seeing how this community is made up of different but all common sense people, if there was an exchange of views I would not be too worried about it

    If you are pretty confident that her key is what you think it is, I would make a comment which is just suggestive enough that it would let her know that you know what it is, but also bland enough that she could brush it off if she were to chose to do so (likewise, if it really is the key to her gym locker), something like "nice key".

    The brass barrel lock is called a “mortise lock”, and have been used forever. Historically, they were often used to lock desk drawers. They fit recessed into the drawer which is why the key is so long. If you want to connect with her, just make sure yours is hanging out in view when she is around. No one wears the mortise lock key to their desk drawer so the odds are like 99.999% that it belongs to a chastity cage.

    Displaying a key will not give anything away as to it's true purpose to someone who is vanilla about chastity, but will be a sure signal to someone who is completely familiar with that specific shape of key.

    Maybe mom caught him pretending to be a woman called "Sal" on weird fetish web site and they are now working out what to do with a hypersexual 14yr basement dweller.

    Perhaps his wife caught him pretending to be "Sal" and they are now both going through therapy together to discover the cause of his deception.

    Or maybe My Pete was sold to the under 21s womens volleyball team to orally service them during the winter while "Sal" gets completes the worl tour with the new zealand rugby team.

    Without updates there is just so much to speculate about!!!
