I am still new to chastity and training myself to build the tolerance - both emotionally and physically. I tried showering in chastity for the first time yesterday. I really enjoyed being locked up while doing regular daily tasks like that. But my problem came after showering, how to properly dry everything down there? I have a metal cage that is fairly open, but its a tight fit and completely filled so not much room for a towel or toilet paper to get into all the crevices. The lock is one of those internal ones, so it worries me that if it doesn't get dried properly it may rust or damage. Not to mention, being uncut makes hygiene more difficult while caged. Are there any good tips and suggestions for drying up properly after showering, or is it best to remove the cage and lock back up after the shower?
@cowboybiker i have had showers and baths in my cage and that got a lock like your one and it dont rust.
Brass doesnt rust. I you are worried about rusting and not opening, just give it a quick LITTLE shot of WD40 inside the keyhole. You dont have to soak the thing.... LOL As for drying yourself completely....I just let everything air dry and never had a problem or a hair dryer set to cool works great!!! Have fun!!!
I have been wearing my cage with an integrated lock for ages... I do everything with it on. Eventually, the locks will get dark and hard to open. To prevent this, every now and then I completely soak them in vinegar and then, I scrub them a bit and they get almost as new. After the vinegar soak, WD40 is welcome.
I also have a fairly open metal cage. What works best for me after a shower is to dry as much as possible with a towel. Then take a blow dryer to it, at a reasonable temperature of course. If you have the time, blow dry again after 5 minutes, Then I often fold a small tissue and place between the cage and balls. That will absorb more moisture. Change as needed. Using a tissue throughout the day is helpful for absorbing moisture: shower residual water, sweat, drips, etc. Again, change as needed.
Been wearing my cage for years. Never an issue with showers, swimming etc. Maybe once in awhile like others have said, a little WD-40 in the lock and you're good to go.
I just dry normally with a towel, any residual dampness is just going to get soaked up by your pants. You do need to unlock periodically for cleaning properly and checking skin to make sure there's no irritation. I usually moisturise before going back into the cage. At the moment we unlock for proper cleaning every two or three days.
Is your cage design open enough that you can use Q-tips to push your foreskin back so you can clean yourself? I personally like foaming hand soap to do the cleaning. I also use a Q-tip to clean the ridge behind the glans.
It is, but the cage is filled completely so not much room for poking around in there. might help to try out the q-tips to get those hard to reach spots. I don't want the moisture to sit and create skin problems..
My experience has been that the good quality brass lockers don’t need any maintenance, had some for years and they’ve never failed. That includes ocean swimming, normal showering etc.
I am new to chastity, but I have some experience with brass, time in the navy years ago. Brass does react poorly to acids and ammonia, both of which can be found in urine. I have seen others on thus forum say they have had problems with the brass locks on the front of devices like the evotion orion because urine does get on them. And WD40 is a water displacement liquid not a lubricant, after using it a lubricant still needs to be used. I plan to use the same oil that came with my Wahl trimmer.
I bathe with it everyday.. mine has holes large enough for water to run thru.. but every few days i removed it for thorough cleaning.. its too hot and humid here.. after bath.. u can easily blow dry using a hair dryer..
My routine for the last 7 years or so is a daily shower with soap, blow dry, then cover it in baby powder that I work in with my fingertips (scooting things back and forth a little until everything is covered). Works for my hot climate to keep things dry and comfortable. MM Jailbird with an abus lock, so no need to remove for any cleaning or maintenence.
Supervised showers. We have a large walk-in shower, so PK and I shower together daily or more. Since having him pierced and fitted with a gland only device removal isn't really necessary, but I just feel better knowing all those nooks and crannies have been attended to. The routine is; removal, shower, dry, re-fit. Eliminating the base ring has made it so much faster and easier.
I would suggest a blow dryer on non heat mode. For me, I take daily showers with my cage off.. But I trust myself and so does my wife.
Agree with the others about blower with no heat mode. Please tell us when you'll try one of the advice given here
I am allowed to remove the device while showering, but staying dry down there is a must. I use this "ball" deodorant everyday in the morning called Happy Nuts Comfort Cream; my wife got it for me. https://www.amazon.com/Happy-Nuts-S...uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl I also use Gold Bond Powder to stay dry through the day. For me the Gold Bond and a REALLY good supported underwear like this one really help. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R7YKSM1?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Buying one size too small is my suggestion since the material is so stretchy.
When I was caged 24/7 with a Jail Bird, using a PA ring to prevent retraction, I learned I could insert my pinky alongside my flaccid penis and wash the length of my penis, especially the bottom side. I could also insert my pinkie turned side-wise between the bars in some places, to wash around the glans. You have to rinse well to prevent irritation. I have an extra cage ring which greatly limits access and bulging when erect.
