Can wearing a cage long-term cause issues like infertility and impotence? I've been reading a lot of info online, but there seems to be conflicting opinions on the subject. Has anyone here on the site had these types of issues? Would you be willing to share your experiences? My girlfriend and I are really interested in practicing male chastity (a couple of weeks in now and loving it), but I know in a couple of years she's going to want to have a baby. At that point we'd probably give this a rest for awhile, or maybe just play for a couple of days at a time for fun. But if we do this say for 2 or 3 years, am I going to experience any of the issues mentioned above? I know none of us are medical doctors, but opinions are appreciated.
I don't think there is any concrete research and everyone reacts differently for different reasons. If you are concerned about the risks then you could maybe limit yourself to shorter spells and give yourself plenty of time to recover inbetween. Building up slowly should minimize any negative side effects and give you the opportunity to stop if you feel concerned. From what I've experienced from my short term lock ups is my body can start to feel stronger after a few days recovery from 2 week lockups.
I've done 2 days and then 3 days and this is my third attempt and I was going to at least go for a week this time around. My gf and I are both really enjoying the experience, but this was just something that came up today and I thought I should look into it...
Sounds like you're both doing the right thing. If you try months and years I expect the recovery time is longer and you could risk more permanent side effects. For that reason I normally experiment with weeks, a month at the most. Taking a few days break lets your have a chance to feel if everything is still working ok.
Well, SHE is obviously the one with the power to determine when it comes off. But I also know she's going to want a baby in 2 or 3 years. I'm 25 years older than her and already have 2 kids, and really wouldn't be having any more if it wasn't that she really wants and deserves one. But for that reason, I want to make sure everything still works down there when the time comes.
Well if you want to explore alternative options you could always consider cryopreservation although I don't know much about it and I expect its expensive.
I believe there are ways to get a sperm sample preserved if you plan to have children later in life but are worried about future health risks.
From what I have read and heard based on others experiences, you would need to be kept. locked up an without an erection or orgasm for a very very long time, as in many months, years, etc... before you experience atrophy and dysfunction. Some stay locked in chastity for years with just this purpose in mind. But, as you know, we are each unique in our health, age, etc... Unless, there is a health issue for you already, a week or two or three at a time, followed by a break for recovery, really shouldn't be a big deal. Of course, this is based on my experience and opinion, coming from a guy who has 4 kids already. Hope this helps.
Infertility, no. I was unlocked twice in the last year, and the second time my wife got pregnant. It will be our third kid since starting chastity. Zero problems with fertility. Impotence, yes, but temporary. After several months of being locked and not having erections, I can’t get hard enough for penetration. But that resolves within 24 hours. So, yes impotence can occur, but it’s temporary.
