    As I explain in my profile, any device today can be removed with enough effort. The point is to make it inconvenient in the moment, and perhaps make it virtually impossible without detection by the keyholder.

    Well this is supposed to be a "real talk" thread.

    Realistically, if you hand your keys to an adventurous but vanilla partner, there is at least initially a certain amused scepticism. For a submissive, it doesn't feel like a game. However, from the outside it pretty much looks like one.

    Now imagine the device had a little built in pulse detector that started flashing if it detected pull out? Or better yet detected orgasms.

    It's still a sex toy, but it's a real one. No imagination or dynamic required. It just works.

    With a wife who is invested in my denial, if I knocked one out she would know because of how responsive I am. I can't suddenly jump to 7 days denied if I cheated. I think this is my biggest deterant in those moments of temptation, apart from the knowledge that waiting for her is worth it, and I've never felt more secure in my marriage. It feels normalised. It feels like something that should be really popular. Maybe it just needs to really a point then it will sweep the western world with a resounding "click"

    Yes. That's roughly how it is for most of us, I think. However, it only works like that because of the secret sauce of your mentality and her recognition of that.

    So, it's the equivalent of bondage cuffs you can squeeze your wrists out of.

    Male Chastity will only reach the next tier of popularity when it doesn't require mentality to work.

    This is our situation! I wanted to wear mine permanently with a piercing and my wife said that is too drastic! Although she has gone along with me she is also not that bothered sadly

    For chastity technology to be a game-changer, the keyholder has to care. Most don’t have the time, interest, or energy. At least if you follow and believe the popular forums. This is one of the top complaints. And as demonstrated by the scarcity of keyholders on this site.

    ... She's just not much of a writer doesn't have any desire to write how she feels. I have asked but she's not keen. Is this why women seem to be misreprented on here? I feel writing on here is cathartic and helps me keep on going on.

    Most keyholders or equivalent seem to like male chastity, but are uninterested in it. They probably used to feel the same way about condoms, and it's the equivalent of men's attitude to their female partner's coil. That's the main reason we don't see them on forums.

    Generally, it seems that when a partner is up for chastity in theory but has reservations, those reservations are technical in nature, ranging from "is it safe" through to "what's the point, you can pull out or use a vibe anyway".

    So tech would be a game changer... but still subject to a ceiling of about 20%.

    A previous comment hit nail on head. It's really going to come down to a lack of keyholders. It seems actual real ones are in demand. Versus the ones made up on here which skew the appearance of interest in being one.

    Kinda splitting hairs. Point being without someone to hold your key keep, it interesting i can easily see getting bored with it quickly. Technology wise after cages were hacked on a large scale not too long not something I'd ever be interested in.
