Things are not always as they seem. If any one is wondering how I was nude on a plane (without getting arrested Ha) the full story is in my Blog “Her Display II “ post #250. It was an enjoyable flight.

Well let's start with I probably have few years on most of you on here I didn't say all just some. My most interesting thing in my life are many. One I had the opportunity to see a lot of this world through my work and my time on the military. I hold my time in the military as very special. I'm a combat veteran of the Vietnam war. I was there from 71 / 72. I was married to a beautiful woman for 20yrs we loved the BDSM lifestyle for about 5 yrs in the early 80's. That was before the cellphone or the internet.

Several years ago, I have had a serious scuba diving accident that left paraplegic for a few weeks. Luckily I recovered mobility and only have a small limp now. It puts life into perspective!

I swam with Great White Sharks (i was in cage) and kayaked next to minke whales.

I met one of the author of the latest IPCC report a few days before the report was published. I realized it watching him being interviewed about the report on TV.

    Yes it was the bends.
The dive was deep but it wasn't the deepest I've done. I was well rested on that day and followed every procedure. it is still unclear why it happened. I guess it one of those things...
Anyway, I've now stopped scuba diving!

That is crazy and scary! I used to do deep dives and some multi tank decompression dives. I've submerged 100 feet at night in the Puget Sound and that was very unnerving to descend through darkness. I used to have nightmares about that kind of stuff but kept at it. Luckily I never had any injuries. I'm glad you are doing better and I hope that you can have a full recovery!

    Thanks! :)
It's nice that you used to scuba dive too! :) My dive was really deep though... more like 190ft

Drag raced motorcycles for a while. Dumping the clutch at 5000 rpm the rear slick grabs, front wheel hikes up, the wheelie bars plant, your ass in shoved into the seat and you tuck in behind the windshield. 10 seconds later you let off the throttle and grab the front brake at 120 MPH. An 'E' ticket ride that never gets old!

I met Tommy Lasorda at Disneyland about 10 years ago. I "extraed" in a movie starring the late Dom Delouise and got an autographed picture from him.

I’ll stick to some more recent things. Last Summer, I was part of an exercise that took me through Poland into Lithuania. I’m just barely old enough to get how weird it is to drive into the former Soviet Union in a US Army Convoy and then hold chapel services on an abandoned Soviet Air Field.

The Summer before last took me through Austria into Hungary and then Romania for a huge exercise. It’s unreal how much former Warsaw Pact countries are glad to see us. After that, we drove through Bulgaria and then I was part of the first US unit to cross the border into Macedonia. It was crazy hot there, but Skopia is a charming city.

I guess I could talk about Iraq and Afghanistan, but lots of service members were there with cooler stories than mine.

I play in a band and every time I get up to play my guitar and sing my songs on a stageI feel like wil be sick at any moment. I nearly fall over with jelly legs. Then I curse myself for putting myself through it and can’t remember the opening lines to the song we are playing. lol

Afterwards I am left with indescribable spiritual high that I haven’t found in anything else and I suddenly remember why I did it not the first place.

Over a few summers around the year 2000 I got drunk with R2D2, Chewbacca, Boba Fett and Admrial Ozzel on a few occasions at various sci-fi/fantasy conventions where I worked as a swordsman. Later I was told because of this I was mentioned in (Uncle Mikey) Sheards biography although I have never read it. I also saw Susan Ivanova from Babylon 5 get thrown out of one convention for being drunk and disorderly. I think that may have been when a Tom Baker Dr Who a like was being chased down the road by a bunch of Roman Centurions driving a World War 2 armoued car lol

In the summer of my 18th year, following graduation, I hitchhiked from Texas to the west coast, supporting myself as a prostitute.

One time I sat down and read seven pages of blogs about interesting and exciting things people have done. I don't think I have done one of them, except for some travel. I have never met a president, a scientist, or saved anyone's life, or hitchhiked across the country trying to get to the beach wearing just a cage

Or flown a plane or worked as a prostitute or met anyone majorly famous. I don't drink much but am definitely jealous about pounding some drinks with a star wars character. I have never bungee jumped or jumped out of an airplane except to disembark a private 5 seated a friend owned, but a two foot jump doesn't really qualify. I am not a doctor, I don't play one on TV. I sit in awe at some of the amazing, bizarre and sublime things you all have done.

I feel a little boring but I am happy to say that my claim of interesting things, may just be that I start each day trying to be kind, benevolent, or friendly with someone on the phone, in person or whatever contact I have. I start a conversation with a perfect stranger at the store or park, just to ask them how they are let them speak, bring out their smile, show a kindness and personal interest. I look at everyone as if they are having their worst day, and in my own little way, I will try to make their day brighter and happier just because someone recognized them and made them feel worthy. Because of my boring life, always looking out for others before myself, I have harvested a treasure trove of meaningful friendships and acquaintances. The retail places I frequent, just eye contact and a nod will elicit a smile and wave and a hello from people that see me again. To have that effect on people I wouldn't ordinarily even know, is so gratifying, it eclipses any personal exciting achievement I may have ever experienced.

I would still like to pound some pints with Chewy, though, that would be cool!
