I really hate to admit it, but I think the opposite is proving true for me...

Since I found a steel cage I can wear comfortably at night, I've had it on 24/7 for more than a month, except for thorough cleaning, which is only once per week and no longer than an hour. Even though I've gotten used to sleeping with it at night, I decided to leave it off last night before going to bed and I slept so much better.

With the cage on at night, I always wake up 2 or 3 times every night and when I get a serious night time erection, it wakes me up and keeps me up the rest of the night and I'm a zombie for the entire day. Last night I didn't have the cage or the ring on at all and I slept 10 hours straight without waking up once... I feel like a million bucks now! :D

It's making me rethink my experiment with long term chastity. Maybe it's not for me after all... My original reason for going into chastity in the first place was to simply stop myself from jerking off when I'm trying to do something productive at my PC. So, I think I'm going to revert back to that for now since the only place I would jerk off is at home and not at work or anywhere with a public restroom.

Notice, I distinctly said "For now"... Nothing is final/permanent. I may revisit long term another time.

This is something that has changed over time for me. At first, no, sleeping was quite a problem when locked, especially with ball trap devices. But now that I've found the right device, fitted/adjusted in the correct way, I actually do sleep better locked.

I suspect this ^ is the case for me as well. Nighttime erections when unlocked often woke me up.

It took some getting used to but after a few nights I do sleep better with the cage on. Almost feels like a sense of safety or calming with the snugness

After the initial trial and error stuff and finding the right type of cage etc, I sleep totally fine, I think my cage allows a bit of growth but it stops 80-90% of any erections, zero pain, I could be trying to get hard for hours and there would be no pain only a horny feeling, I think thats the key.
