    I'd go along with that . Giles you have so much knowledge on the subject and are clearly a capable writer. I'm sure you are able to cover the subject in an educational and non threatening way . There are so few people that can address the mainstream in a way that can engage and inform a new audience without making it seem seedy. I would definitely read your submissions .

    I don’t see any mention of Euphoria and the Kat Hernandez character. She starts off as a cam-girl, finds her way into being an online domme, and then at the end of the season one of the male characters professes his love for her in what sounds like the beginning of an FLR.

    that's a good article. None of the usual "ooh er matron" stuff you normally get when mainstream starts talking about anything kink-related. It mentioned the relationship to kink and wrote about FLR on its own terms. Some really good advice at the end, as well. Very encouraging.

    I think the author may have been trying to slyly suggest that if you have an equal relationship, you’ve already started down the road.

    On the other hand, for some people the idea of equitable power sharing in a relationship, or even any discussion of the subject, is (still) so radical that you might as well call it FLR.

    You may be right about the author’s intent. I strongly disagree with the binary thinking though. Where it is either FLM or MLM. That ignores all the wonderful ways to have a relationship that has nothing to do with either.

    Just noticed an article in Pink News, March 7 2021.

    Chastity cages, sometimes referred to as c**k cages, are kinky sex toys popular in the LGBT+ BDSM community and are used for erection and orgasm denial.​

    Not particularly exciting, but suggests the chastity devices are becoming common in some corners of the gay community. (There's a similar 2019 article in Out. )

    Dan Savage answered a chastity related question this time last year.
