The locks for the Holy Trainer V2 onwards
    magic lock
stealth locks all different names for the same thing
    [IMG]

Some perhaps not all of the locks are brass and now some are made of plastic
I would be interested in any feedback on the plastic ones
    or
given that one of my locks is used in a PAdlock [IMG] and so very rarely am i allowed access to a key to clean and oil it I have 3 times now had to break out (with permission) requiring lock replacements to be pre-ordered.

Does anyone know of someone that makes these locks from a more resilient metal like for example marine quality stainless?

My Lady does keep me locked but when she wants me out obviously she does not want to be nor should she be kept waiting. Utilisation of a more suitable metal for the locks is we think the best way forward.

BTW you can now get plastic replacement locks with plastic keys and what they say is a diamond.. I know nothing additional about them though.

The Holy Trainer site, and the replacement supplier keptforher.com both sell the higher quality German locks. Some of the Chinese copies that I've had have literally fallen apart. You might consider that before you look at the plastic ones.

    Thank you Tom.
the kept forher oes don't look compatable.. they may well be of course.
the plastic ones cost less than a pint so its probably worth getting one just to look at.

The better quality Chinese copies that I have are brass bodies, with steel springs and tumblers, held in by brass pins press fit into holes over each tumbler. These are copies of the German ones.

The crappy ones have brass bodies, steel springs and tumblers, but are held in by a small bit of sheet brass stamped into a slot over the tumbler array. That brass sheet usually pops out under pressure.

We have already sent for one. The sometimes hard to unlock appeals to my Lady and at that price trashing the lock to remove it is not the end of the world.

It's a Burg Wacther ME/2, and the higher quality ones are all made of brass. As already mentioned, they're designed to go into the existing mortise locks of furniture to prevent the original, less-secure, key from being used. They were never designed for the type of environment we might use them in, but the Burg Wacther branded ones are the highest quality ones in this form factor I've come across.

The supplier in the US is Steinlock

Thanks for sharing this Tom! After my own experience of a Chinese lock that broke I will most certainly invest in one of these!! :)

Oh, good, you found a US supplier. I found a good Chinese duplicate so I bought 4 of them, but it's nice to know I can get originals.

Now I'm wondering if the supplier will get an odd uptick in orders over the next year, and wonder why so many people are interested in old furniture.

Mine disintegrated as it was being removed for a ride this morning. I've bought two of the good ones from the American supplier @JosieLynn Jewell found. Thanks Josie and Tom. I'll be switching cages for a while until the new locks arrive.

New lock arrived quickly from the American supplier, and now in use. It's obvious that it's of significantly higher quality.

somewhere on CM I have seen an alternative high security version which required a little modification to the cage, but would otherwise work as usual.

Try chastity tube. Lori has a locking system that replaces the pad lock with a cap and security screw. Can not be removed without the special key.
