    Yes - we do find it easier to talk about intimate things. I jokingly said that I found it a bit of a turn-on when she was cross about my masturbating. She asked if I was serious and I said yes, I like it when she is dominant and tells me what to do - she tends to do this naturally anyway. She is now noticeably more bossy and demanding in our everyday life and has introduced a slightly dominant element to giving me sexual release. I love it.

    I'm really pleased for you both that that helped.

    My wife was VERY vanilla when we first met, she still is much the same now, but sending her written communications in the form of non-explicit memes has made her feel much less self-conscious about talking about sex, as she has had the private space and time to digest and think about things that she would never have ventured to discover on her own.
    Once she knows that you know that she knows... there's much less embarrassment about discussing things.

    Once she knows that you know that she knows - may seem a bit convoluted but it really is the key. I now realise that the best approach is to casually or jokingly let your partner what is a turn on for you and give them lots of time and space to process it. No pressure, no follow up. I seems to be working for us and I think our relationship will continue to evolve to become more exciting for us both.
