I have been thinking about a PA for months. It was easy to think about when all the piercing shops were shut down due to the plague. So I made a decision to get a PA when the shops opened again ...and wouldn't you know it, they opened again. I chose to use Amory Body Arts in Santa Cruz CA, My piercer has been an APP member since 2006. I made my appointment a week in advance. ...which means I had a whole week to think about it and scare myself. I showed up for my appointment early and had to wait outside while they finished with the client before me (more time to scare myself) When I was let into the shop I was immediately subjected to a health screening. Then a bunch of questions, followed by a bunch of safety warnings. By this point, I am so scared that I am almost ready to back out. My piercer shows my the 6 gauge jewelry that is about to pierce my penis with the guide needle attached, and I could barely speak to give the verbal OK. After marking me and cleaning me, I looked away as He guided the needle down through my penis to the piercing location He told me to breath in deeply through my Nose and exhale slowly through my mouth. Just as I exhaled I felt it. For 1 1/2 seconds I thought I had made a huge mistake, and then it was over. 1 minute later the only discomfort left was feeling as though I needed to pee. It turns out the worst part about getting a PA (so far) was the anticipation.
