    Hi all,

Been using chastikey for a little while using the honor system with my keys, which is fine when the lock is only a couple of hours, however I have a new cage on the way that I'm hoping will be more comfortable for long term wear and I'd like to play with longer locks once it arrives.

I'm on the fence between getting a timed kitchen safe or, since I already use the app, a combination lock that would be chastikey compatible. I know a lock with more than 4 digit combos is ideal, however, there seems to be from what I can see a pretty big price jump between 4 digits - more complex options. Also my searches seem to turn up more full sized safes than lock boxes so maybe I'm using the wrong key words (no pun intended) when googling. I wanted to reach out here and see if I could get a few recommendations on different lock box options that y'all have found work well for you.

Thanks for taking the time to read and any suggestions are much appreciated ❤

So are you seeking a remote control box? or just a smaller version. I have a 4-digit lockbox designed for realtor keys. It would work i think. but it is not remote.

Not necessarily remote controlled, I was thinking more along the lines of one with a digital keypad that would allow for more complex combinations to make it easier to forget after entering. I've been trying to find one that is on the more affordable side but all I'm turning up is full safes which are a bit big for just a key. I'll give realtor lockboxes a search though, thanks for the suggestion!

If you're in the US and have a Harbor Freight hardware store nearby, you can find a small digital safe for 40 bucks or so. Size of a shoe box but quite secure and combinations up to 8 digits. Makes remembering the combo impossible!

Is it really that hard to remember 8 digits? A phone number is 10 digits as we remember those all the time.

LOL, who remembers phone numbers any more? I just click the name in my smart phone. I actually have a hard time remembering my own number.

Yes, it's difficult when it's only one quick interaction with the eight digit number followed by 30 seconds of a screen full of 8 digit numbers and a voice reading them off randomly -- much harder than remembering the 4 digit number of a real estate lock box. Argumentative much?

No, it was a serious question, not an argument, sheesh. I just don't find it that hard to remember 8 digits if I've seen them long enough to use them.

The kitchen safe thing (now called ksafe?) doesn't work well for this in my opinion. Spinning the little wheel endlessly counting up in seconds and minutes. The "captured discipline" safe/lockbox thing also has a horrible UI.

There are lots of padlocks out there that can be set +/- hours, but they all max out at 99 hours (4 days) which is not quite enough. And and who wants to calculate lockup duration in hours using their 24 times table? So I don't think they are a good choice.

There is an API for chastikey so it should be theoretically possible to integrate the app with a physical lock. It seems one user made a DIY "lockbox" that kinda/sorta works with Chastikey. If you create an account on the discord server and search you will find instructions.

As for google - try searching for smart padlock. I have tried many "smart padlock" options to use with my (real-life) keyholder, but in the end none of them worked well

    Noke
    Nuki
iKeyP (this one was a joke... bash it with a fist on the top and it opens!)
LockSmart (Lock can be "owned" by a KH and shared with lockee). Clumsy though, and one of the locks I bought was dead on arrival, would never pair with phone

Actually the most interesting device I found was timelessbox which was a crowdfunded project to set a box to open at some point in the future (at least 1 year is possible). I'd like to get one of these, but it seems the company or product is no longer around. If anyone knows how I can get one of these or has one for sale please PM me!

There's also Trova - offering (expensive) WiFi or bluetooth enabled lockboxes. Not quite usable for this context though.

If anyone here knows of better options than these I'd love to hear about them. Ideally my KH would be able to set a duration in days and have the lock open automatically at timeout but not before. Ability to easily adjust the time would be an added bonus.

What we do now is use plastic security seals and set a "meeting" in outlook - KH can check the number on the seal before opening. Ha! It's low-tech but it works!

Forgot to include igloohome on the list above. Igloohome is based on the realtor lockbox idea, and (in my opinion) has the slickest UI of them all. The lock "owner" can create 8 digit one-time PINs and can specify time windows in which PIN can be used by guests.

You might be able to use that with chastikey or self-locking but it could be a big cumbersome.

My Mistress (@Destiny103181) and I use an igloohome and it is amazing. She will send me a one time PIN anytime she wants me out to groom and clean. She loves the control it gives her.

Thank you all for your suggestions and help! Ended up going with the $40 Sentry Safe from Staples and it works great, 8 digit combos and easy to reset, I was searching to use it by myself with Chastikey and their AI KH but as luck would have it I'm happy to say a lovely Goddess is holding my keys remotely now hehe

I found the best to be a tube of steelworks where the key can be locked with a plastic lock.

Just today, I have found a relic from the ages past (on the ChastityForums), DreamLover - ChronoVault (http://www.dreamloverlabs.com/chronovault.php). Its advertisement video from 2012 is so queer.

Still, what I don't get is why Americans seem exclusively to use those kitchen lock boxes with a disk dial? Which only go for 10 days? Whereas AliExpress sells Chinese containers that hold for 41 days, and under 30 USD?
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002510372971.html

(Don't take me for a seller bot, I'm actually picking one for myself. I've finally registered in these places because of it.)

There's also this funny and otherwise useless plastic cube with a padlock, digital or mechanical. But the digital padlock cannot have its batteries changed, so will probably die in 3 years. And costs even more than the container. And only lasts 4 days max (charge holds for 5 days).
    https://www.chastitymansion.com/forums/index.php?threads/lockbox-timer.39040/

I myself had a brilliantly stupid idea a few weeks ago - there are chastity devices which allow for both an internal magic lock and a plastic pin - can't a timed padlock be threaded through the ear? The width of the wire is 0.4 cm. I wonder if it has ever been tried on this planet. Carrying a padlock in one's pants would be quite retarded, however.

I've never been a fan of ChastiKey/EmlaLock/Chaster (and also TheLockBox.app and TheChaste.com?). They all seem like incredible hassle - and might go offline at any moment. Of course, one can pick the 4-digit lock manually, but then what's the point? Timed lockboxes indeed seem more sociopathic, self-reliant (Juche, hehe).

It's been suggested that the recovery method for dealing with a dead battery can be used at any time which rather defeats the security. Can anyone verify that?

Yes, she would have to set it up for her device first though.
