    And what reason is that? Because it seems like you're saying that people seek out D/S relationships because they see themselves as unworthy of being treated with a basic level of human decency and respect. If that is in fact the case, then yes, I do have a problem with that because those people should be seeking therapy rather than something which might reinforce their erroneous self image.

    That's not what I am saying at all. They seek out D/s relationships because they want an unequal relationship, with more importance given to one. This does not mean they have to be treated like shit. You are just assuming that is the case.

    Unequal can mean one party's wants are more important than another. When something is more important than someone's needs including someone else's needs, that falls into the realm of unhealthy.

    I was asking a question to see if her relationship was unhealthy, something that should be encouraged rather than discouraged.

    I can only speak for myself but I want very much to be loved (or at least valued) for my traditional male qualities of humility, subservience, obedience, deference and loyalty.
