Importance of duration

This is pretty much my experience too.

For me the benefits of longer duration relate to how my chastity evolves from a permitted release over the following three weeks. At around the three week period I also reach a state of 'zen', where I feel at one with the cage, completely comfortable and any thoughts of missing orgasms is balanced (if not outweighed) by the glorious feelings of denial and enhanced submission.

 

I find this topic personally fascinating. On ANY rational level, the duration of the lock-up is all but irrelevant. Yet, I find myself trying harder and harder to extend lock up times.

When we’re using my belt, typically in the past my wife’s routine was to unlock me from about a week to every ten days on average. There were points in the first few years where she had me locked as long as 5 weeks. When we first started out I was interested in duration, I was curious what it was like to go for long periods in regards to what kind of mental and physical effects it would have on me. I enjoy the high I start to feel and the more intense feelings I have for my wife after I’ve been locked for about a week. I was interested in riding these feelings out to see how they’d evolve. My wife on the other hand sees chastity as a means to keep my hands off of myself and generally enjoys my more obedient behavior when I’m wearing my belt. In her eyes, me having having an orgasm during sex is important to her and that’s a big part of what she enjoys. The duration of me being locked isn’t relevant to achieve what she wants to achieve with me.

 

Setting records is not my goal nor my wife's. Its about what she wants and desires from me, plus the fact she has the power over my penis. If I was younger and had a high sex drive, this would be more of a problem. I need medication to perform PIV but not to masturbate to porn. She has stopped my ability to masturbate and when she gets the itch, I go free. The downside is she is bi so she gets lots of attention for playing with her girl friend while I either sit and watch or serve them. When I am let out and fed my pills I have a great time and really hot sex until I can't perform and then back in lockup.

It's not about the duration per se. My wife Hates the way I get for a day or 2 after an orgasm, so we have settled on about 1 every couple months on average. I prefer longer no cum periods, because I love the feeling. For me it's the building desire and anticipation of an orgasm that gives the best rush, so extending the duration allows the anticipation to continue to build.

 

As others said, it depends on what you want. Someone just wears it for hours someone permanently. It is up to you to tind out what is the best for you. I am now in a week self lock, because I was masturbating too much (I have no girlfriend), and it needs to be changed. Also its good to be now locked up, and feel the buildup.

For me, duration of cage lockups doesn't matter, even to the point that I'm not keeping track really anymore. I think I'm still averaging 2-3 weeks between orgasms, but sometimes its shorter, sometimes its longer.

The last time we really intentionally went for a record was over a year ago, when she decided to keep me locked up until my birthday in 6 weeks (which would have just been a record) ... and then intentionally went another 6 weeks. I was all in on it mostly for this reason:

I can’t say that breaking my own record, or threats of crazy amount of time doesn’t turn me on. It’s unknown. Plus the fact that whatever time I have locked is in direct correspondence with her wishes, it’s hot to think of her wanting that. That being said I have never wanted or requested a set time.

I have been disappointed when a long lock up ends with a 15 second hump in the morning. Kind of anticlimactic pun intended. It’s work, and when it unceremoniously ends it feels like it didn’t mean anything. I get over it quickly, but if it were up to me, once I go past the 3 month mark, I would prefer it to be special.

I once thought we would unlock every few weeks, or she would come up with a system. She tried a few times, but then said she didn’t like the calendar holding the keys, she wanted to. A few times she’s threatened long time lockup, for certain things. She once said if she ever found out about me cumming without permission I’d be in at least a year. Part of me wanted to test her, but the same part said, I don’t think that’s wise.

I keep track for my own curiosity, going from having at least one O a day to under ten a year is quite the life changer.

 

My partner/KH insisted there would be no time frames or set times when I would be released.

I am locked permanently being released once a week to deep clean and shave properly.

All other releases are at her discretion and she decides what will happen, I'm not allowed to ask to be released or ask when I will be released.

This is absolutely fine with me and means I can just focus on pleasing her and not when I'll be released

 

For us it’s not about duration. It’s about orgasm control. i am almost always restrained when unlocked and Lady K usually unlocks me 2-3 times a week. She then decides if i get an orgasm or am ruined or denied and locked up until the next time
