GF/KH just got a huge incentive. It’s kinda scary!

Last year, I had t have a stent put in my heart after I found that I had an 85% lockage in my right coronary aertery. My fitness and energy levels had plummeted as a result and I had been putting on weight. After the procedure, I had to quit taking Adderall which caused me to quickly add another 30 pounds.

I’m on a work assignment in Bahrain right now with my boss and good friend who made me an offer last night to incentivize getting in better shape. He told me that he would pay me a bonus of $5,000 ($100 pee pound) if I can lose 50 pounds by April 1, 2019. It’s all or nothing though. So I basicallly have to average a pound a week for the next year for the bonus. I agreed and we shook on it.

So.... I talked to my future wife/KH on FaceTime this morning and told her about it and told her she can have half of it if she makes sure I stay on track. She was very happy and eager to help me and she plans to use her full power as a key holder to make sure that I stay on track with diet and exercise. She said it may seem mean sometimes but losing that bonus is NOT an option. She also said that she was really going to enjoy this although I probably wouldn’t...

I’m going to be in Bahrain for 4 more weeks and I have promised to self lock the whole time except for when Im going across the border into Saudi. She plans to do a weigh in as soon as I get home and I better be down 4 pounds or she takes the key back and I don’t get any release until I’m on track.

So far, this is kinda scary but I’m also excited to have her full support to meet my fitness goals.

Use smaller plates. The plate will look full but you will eat less.

Good luck, I hope you succeed. Shoot for 60 pounds and fifty wont seem that hard. If you drink sodas, stop, I lost ten pounds just stopping soda. Keep us up to date on your progress.

Just following up what @ineverknew said, here is an Australian website about quitting sugar. https://iquitsugar.com Apart from having a heap of stuff on their website, they also run an 8 week program focused on cutting sugar. One of the last programs they are going to offer starts in a few days time.

We haven't done the program. But we have a number of their recipe books (we found out last year that our daughter is sugar and wheat intolerant - so the recipes were a great help when we had to cut both out cold turkey).

Good luck. Hope things work out for you.

I will say that thiskind of tough love scares me. She always could do something like this, luckily she hasn’t gone that route. It certainly would keep cheating on your diet to a minimum!

In a study in London a shot glass of pomegranate juice daily gradually reversed clogged arteries. The reason is that oxidized fat that sticks to artery walls has the opposite charge the artery walls have. They attract. That’s not all that causes the fat to stick but it’s part of the reason. The juice has antioxidants that can make the charge attracted to the arteries become non charged. The result is less attraction and gradual elimination of oxidized fats.

She also plans to keep me active with chores and making me go to the gym when she goes to work. My work schedule isn’t exact but close to 30 on and 30 off. Sometimes it’s 45-60 on and 15-60 off. No more being a couch potato for weeks at a time. She is really planning to use her keyholder power to whip me into shape. Exciting but also scary.

Both are free and will help you lose weight and keep track of everything you eat.

    Jessica,

First, it's terrific that you are now sufficiently concerned to take drastic action. Bravo for being open and honest.

Second, your situation reminds me of a fantasy. (This is why I wanted to congratulate you first.....so as not to hijack your good news) Imagine a world where the healthcare workers hold keys. Anyone with a penis only gets unlocked IF they maintain a good weight. So it's not only the wives/girlfriends/SO's out there holding your key, it's also your nurse practitioner!

Good luck on the weight loss. Others are correct--sugar is your enemy in ALL of its forms.

Thanks Herlicker. Forgive me, I was trying to be as brief as possible. Thus, I didn't take the time to be precise in my advice.

Please allow me: Sugar--in its refined state--is your enemy. Essentially your dietary carbohydrate (which your body turns into sugar) should only come from natural unrefined sources such as whole fruits and vegetables.)

We all know what the ideal diet would look like if we had the discipline: a small portion of lean protein, a portion of whole fruit, and portion of whole vegetable. Eat like that, and the weight will fall of you. It's just hard to do in today's processed food jungle.

And I fully agree with Herlicker. It's nonsense to skip eating whole fruit for the sake of "cutting carbs". Processed carbs=bad, carbs from whole fruit and veggies=good.

With the apps I mentioned you track all nutrition information so you can plan all your meals and snacks a head of time.

I believe Herlicker and I would agree that "fat free" is not actually the best idea....

You want your fats to come from vegetable sources. Veggie fat won't hurt you. The clogged arteries come from excess sugars in the bloodstream. Excess dietary fat simply passes through your system.

The benifits of Chastity and giving control to someone else are endless loosing weight and getting into better shape are only a couple of them. Chastity and FLR has been one of the best changes that we have made in our relationship of over 38 years. To give it up and go back to how things use to be is no longer an option

I have two weight loss tips (nothing to do with chastity!):
One, from when I was travelling a lot, was to try to book a hotel with a Japanese restaurant; I found Japanese food to be delicious in small quantities and it was pretty easy to stay off loads of carbs, fats and sugars. Just don't drink the excellent beer on offer!
Two, is that in the past, whenever I felt hungry I used to reach for a snack right away; now I try to say to myself "Oh, Interesting, I feel really hungry right now. I think I will wait ten minutes, see how I feel, and then probably have a snack, then." 80% of the time I was not so hungry after 10 minutes and so no snack was needed.

The Four Hour Body book has some great advice for weight loss and fitness, I followed one tip with good effect, stop eating food that is white — bread, pasta, rice, milk, cream, potatoes. All are high carb. Replace them with protein and veg. I lost 5 kg in just over a month.
