Everyone has insurance until they don’t have it. You forget what country we live in. Homeowners insurance finds any way to not pay for your damage, and if they do, it takes a long time to get anything. So you would be faced with your choice, depend upon the good will of others/the government, or starve and die. If you had/currently have kids, you would let them suffer to prove your point?

 

I'm so glad young people are rejecting the anti-social and reactionary politics of "fuck you, I got mine." I'm also glad for many public services, and while I don't always agree with where my tax money goes, I look forward to education, housing, and healthcare - basic human rights - being wholly funded with public money for anyone who needs them. Homelessness, hunger, and poverty in the 21st century aren't because of a lack of resources, but a lack of political will, and the younger generation is pushing for many of these changes in spite of silly accusations of "socialist brainwashing."

Going back to the original topic a bit, I'm personally glad for feminism. It makes all of us better because it's an equality movement. As pointed out by many feminists, an issue like toxic masculinity - an aversion to sharing feelings, antiquated and often homophobic notions of what it means to be "a man" - doesn't just hurt women. It hurts men too.

Feminism has always been portrayed as being led by bands of man-hating pink-haired lesbians who want to castrate all men (which is my fetish). In reality, feminism is about equality, and therefore women fighting for their own empowerment. There are a lot of gains to be made, which is why organizations and spaces for women absolutely need our support. I hope CM remains such a space and it's great that so many in the community have come out against intolerance in this thread.

On the one hand, you catch more flies with honey, rather then vinegar, on the other hand people like him with a basic aversion to facts have significantly fucked up our electoral process's around the western world to such degree's that the damage they've inflicted i don't think can be fixed.

Take this moron for example. He's 57, which means that he's been participating in democracy and voting for 39 years. All of it with his head completely in the sand, devoid of any nuance or understanding of the most basic things such as social responsibility, or even where his tax money goes.

And now people like me are staring into the void where it's complete open season for corruption in politics cheered on by moron's like him which have given us people like Morrison, Boris and Trump..... when instead we could have fixed or at least stopped things like the rampant extinction of of the planet, (60% of ALL animals have disappeared in 50 years!) and problems like Climate Change, which we have KNOWN about for literally decades are rearing their heads where half of the fucking continent i live on is LITERALLY on fire.

So i don't know mate. You tell me what i'm supposed to feel. Don't want to hurt his feelings do we.

What other word do you use to describe a person completely disconnected from Reality Lucy. "Ill informed" isn't a strong enough way to convey how stupid they are.

Water conducts electricity, Helium makes balloon's float and CO2 absorbs infrared radiation. These people have a fundamentally egregious disconnection with reality and yet i'm supposed to respect that and be civil? Fuck that, the time for being civil with these people ended in the 90's when they could have taken small and meaningful action on these problems.

Of course i have absolute disdain for these people. They're dragging the rest of us down with them.

 

Just for context, this is literally what the sky has looked like for most of my country for 2 months now. Pictures like this are taken at Noon.

I went weeks with visibility being so poor we couldn't see far enough to see the clouds. People have to stay indoors, events, sport and people's lives have been put on hold literally because of this.

The entire eastern side of my country has been in raging bushfires since AUGUST which is Australia's winter. Not only that, we still have at LEAST another 3 MONTHS of this to look forward to because Australia's summer only just started in december...... 4 months after the first bushfires where already ravaging our country.

People have died. Entire towns have been wiped out, hell a town 15 minutes from me was wiped out and i have talked to the people that lived there and literally saw the flames. Most of thought they where actually going to die, huddled in their sheds with a garden hose. Some of them did.

So fuck these people that STILL enable this shit to continue and get even worse.

What does treason mean to you? There can be no discussion of treason without mentioning Trump unfortunately. He literally does it right in front of cameras for everyone to see.

 

Treason to me means a direct threat to the welfare of the nation. If you can’t beat him, impeach him. If that doesn’t work, what are they gonna try next?

If Trump is found innocent, bring charges against Pulosi immediately. Her and Clinton are as crooked as my dogs hind leg.
