1 Year Review of Permanent Saint (CW: includes locked cock pick)

This is a follow up for my earlier 7-day review of more than a year ago.

Yes, a year later and I'm still sealed into the Custom Chastity Saint Permanent Edition!

Here's what it looks like on (blushes):

It's tough surgical nylon. The dye job is my own.

You'll notice the very low profile, and locking mechanism that's a snap in seal. Here's a screenshot of the original CAD files:

In a way, the device doesn't need much of a technical review, because it features are all absences: absence of weight, absence of profile, absence of impact on health and normal routine... I can towel dry, I can do sports, I can wear a groin guard for some of those sports, I can sleep on my side with my legs closed, I can pee with confidence outdoors when hiking, or in a modern urinal (thought that's down to the skin tone)... basically live normally.

The only issue - one common to most devices - is that the paperclip head is visible through tight swimwear, even wetsuits. The workaround is a board shorts for the beach, and speedos for under the wetsuit, with a thick athletic support.

I haven't tested it going through security, but it is all plastic. Similarly, I've not been hit by a truck while out jogging and rushed into an MRI scanner, but, again, it's all plastic.

The biggest absence, therefore, is the absence of any routine reason for removing it.

This is very much a "Careful what you wish for" device.

The limited number of seals is supposed to create a slipperly slope, and cover for shy keyholders - "Oh darling we're down to our last two seals, and I don't want to order more until after Christmas so..."

However, Xena is in the category of keyholders who just like their men locked. So she tossed the spares into her bedside cabinet, and that was that. For this reason, I can only speculate on how hard removing a seal will be.

Since my dye job is slowly fading, I probably will have to remove the device sometime this year. However, this time I shall use clear coat, so it will then be good for much, much longer. (Lady Fox says a planned new manufacturing process will involve solid colours, which won't fade.)

Xena's attitude has gone from "OK, whatever, I would have kept the key anyway" to "this is much better". Part of that is down to practicality and unobtrusiveness; she doesn't have to be aware of the device unless she wants to, and doesn't have to feel responsible for second guessing me. However, there seems to be something very different psycholgically about sealing a device - Xena likes me locked, but I don't think she ever really wanted to be a keyholder, and now she doesn't have to be...

@Tom Allen I used a nylon dye. Generally these need topping up every 6-9 months, but not possible while wearing it. The first CC devices I had faded from black to charcoal to grey, so it's not just my dying. However, google tells me you can use clearcoat. As per blog post, Lady Fox's new production method will produce solid colour...

@Tom Allen does yours stay on 24/7/365? I must confess I have lost track...

 

That's the weird thing about it. Once you are a couple of months in, nothing changes.

Indeed, but this is a review thread, not a competition!

 

It is worth pointing out that though I have broken no records in terms of time, I think I'm the first man to be sealed into a commercial permanent-only chastity device.

Other devices exist that have permanent as an option - there's that metal thing with the clips. And there's also the snap in permalocker.

This, however, as far as I know, is the first commercial device that can only be locked permanently.
