That article gets more wrong than right. I especially love the $35 HT. I mean for a mainstream media outlet promoting a knock off of the real thing. The whole thing is cringe...

 

On one hand, I agree that the article is really just an ad for random cages and has some bad info. Like suggesting the open cage design is great for masturbation, even though the premise of the article is to “takes one’s dick off the table”.

On the other hand, GQ is pretty mainstream so to have this kind of exposure is probably overall positive for the community. Now, if we could only get similar articles in women’s interest magazines and convince more women chastity cages are great ideas.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, if you wear a chastity cage into the sauna, I don't think most guys would care or even now what it is. On the other hand, I don't like the idea of flashing my "kink" in public, even on this level. Not everyone feels the same way most of us do about chastity, and it's almost as if you are rubbing their faces in it by putting it on display. Everyone has the right NOT to be exposed to what many people consider aberrant sexual behavior.

 

I don’t think wearing a metal enclosure on privates is an aberrant sexual behavior. It’s no different than a piercing. What I do find odd, is being completely naked in a public gathering area. If it’s a public area, that isn’t specifically designed to be nude at, why be nude at all? Wear a damn towel so you aren’t flashing genitalia at everyone that wants to use the sauna.

I don’t believe it’s kink, although it can certainly be used that way, same with genitals, neither is inherently sexual by themselves. Nudity and or cages however are not always appropriate to expose to the public. Nude beach, fine. Shower area, equally fine. Area designated for everyone to use and enjoy…not fine. Put a towel around your waist as if your own daughter were in there with you, someone’s daughter just might be.

 

Careful you're treading a very fine line. Some have been burned at the stake here for using simple common sense.

 

I imagine that many people into lifestyle chastity, would see little difference between a cage and piercings. However, it does seem that in the mainstream social media it is overtly kinky. One could argue that wearing a chastity key on display, which many of our Goddesses do, is more overt than a chance glance at a bit of shiny from a dropped towel. Anyway, If you're looking at my junk, are you disappointed that you can't see as much of it with the bars in the way or something?
