In my cage is pretty much my default status. I might be out total a day or two a month. Rarely I'm allowed to not sleep in it for a night after she let's get off. Usually it's right back on.

I never ask to be unlocked unless there's a health issue. I promised her that a few years ago, and have never broken that promise.
If we're going somewhere like an airport or an event and there's the chance of a secuity search, then my wife might unlock me for it. I tend not to worry if I'm on my own, but she gets quite self-concious if there's the possibility of it being discovered when we're together.
