Locked for lent

I'm currently locked, with a planned release date of the 30th April.
However, the sting in the tail is that I've been told by my wonderful Girlfriend / KH that I'll also be giving up orgasms for Lent..... never gone anywhere near that length of time before, so it's going to be some challenge!

 

Does anybody accepts the 'Locked for lent' challenge this year? Lent has just started, I'll give it a try...

I can't accept the challenge because it's up to my wife / KH. And we are going on an anniversary trip in 9 days. She has already said she wants the cage off during that week since we will be together 24x7.

 

Ive been told that i'm giving up my orgasms for 40 days.

 

I will be at a minimum orgasm-free for Lent. Locked for most of it.

For me, it is not “just a kink” like Locktober would be. I am doing it for the spiritual growth as well.

I've already started. No alcohol for 40 days. Fasting until 6 PM every Wednesday and Friday. And no masturbation (partially enforced by Holy Trainer v5). But uh, still will have sex with my wife. Also I'm not Catholic but I just think fasting is a good idea for self control...which is related to this whole....chastity thing obviously.

 

Because Sundays are feast days for Christians. Orthodox fasting alcohol will drink beer on Sundays in some countries etc.

Some Christians abstain from sex for Lent. This goes back hundreds of years. I guess the male chastity community doesn't like to draw parallels to priests and nuns...

I'm gonna shoot straight with everyone... It's my opinion, but I feel I could collect data on it that would get really close to 100%... I really feel that the large majority of people who practice "lent" would highly frown upon someone wearing a chastity device in general.

I'd go as far as to say if your religious community found out about someone who was wearing a chastity device they could be shunned by that community. It's just my opinion, but I just find the whole topic ironic in general.

It depends. If you are a single unmarried Christian man and you told another Christian man that you don't watch porn, don't masturbate, and don't intend to have pre-marital sex they would be impressed and probably praise those choices and your ability to resist temptation. Now if you told him you never have sex with your wife because she keeps your penis locked up and she is the head of your family (FLR) he would likely have a negative reaction. So it depends. But I don't want to turn this thread into a big discussion of the finer points of Christian theology.

Fasting has been practiced for thousands of Years by many different religious groups. Including abstaining from sex. Its not a purely Abrahmaic practice by any means. It's really about self control and learning to resist temptation and there's definitely a huge parallel to this modern male chastity kink.

 

In addition to my wife, I have a small and growing group of very committed Christian friends who know that I am using chastity to curb a masturbation habit that started 55 years ago. They don't shun me; they support me because they see the very positive changes that have happened in my marriage.

I have found principles of a chaste lifestyle promoted on this website and others related to chastity that are very consistent with the Christian belief system: devotion to your wife, self control of your sexuality, respect for women, monogamy, etc. There are a lot of things on this site that are inconsistent with the Christian faith and doctrine, but that doesn't mean you can't embrace the positive, consistent elements.

There is a growing body of people both within and outside the Christian community who now see that masturbation, and certainly pornography, are damaging to a person and a marriage for neurological reasons that have only started to come to light in recent years. One Christian ministry focused on marriage and sexuality is starting to reshape Christian teaching on these topics. They are telling men they don't need to have sex every 3 days and that they need to practice chastity in their marriages. They aren't proposing chastity for life but certainly restraint.

The practice of physical chastity is not likely to ever find widespread use in the Christian community. But for those who understand the nature of sexual brokenness and addiction, there can be acceptance and adoption of the practice.

 

Porn induced ED is definitely a thing And huge numbers of young men have it. Imagine a guy 18 or 25 who can't get and maintain an erection with a woman in bed because his brain is fried from porn and he associates sitting in front of a screen as "sex time." NoFAP (male chastity) is literally the only cure other than drugs like viagra or watching porn while you have sex with a woman and neither are a good long term solution. So porn is absolutely damaging to men who use it for routine masturbation. Absolutely 100% damaging.

 

So true! Most of my friends who now know I use chastity have a porn addiction. They use guardrails like Covenant Eyes on their electronic devices to help them.

I've spoken to my doctor and the head a large regional counseling practice. They are both seeing young men now with ED.

 

I was one. NoFAP (no orgasm) for 30 days or so cured me. True story. Literally couldn't fuck a woman due to porn caused ED.

 

I had ED too. And it has worked for me as well. I'm in my 60s though and age and circulatory issues contributed to my ED. But chastity, tease and denial have cured me of that and returned my testosterone levels to normal. We've gone from a sexless marriage to having more frequent sex (with few releases for me) than we ever had when we were first married.

 

I'm locked for lent too.
