So we just our first “cold” front down here and temperatures, etc have dropped some. Not cold yet, but definitely cooler than the past few days. As such, my balls want to run and hide and stay warm, but the cage / ring is preventing that from happening. Obviously there’s some ring burn, and occasionally painful feelings. Nothing blue, or anything like that, though. What do y’all folks in the colder climates do? Or those in the south, do y’all do anything different when the weather gets colder? Warmer underwear or something? Pocket heaters in the pants?
Last winter, I grabbed some spare material and added it down there to help keep things warm. Not sure what I'll do this year once the snow comes.
i put some Vaseline on the bottom of the sack and pull a small sock over the whole package when scooping snow or riding bike. (Got that tip to from a forum member (@Rectrix, i think)). asa
Generally, I tweak the gap at the beginning and end of the Summer....my balls become low hangers in the heat so I have to reduce the gap a touch to prevent the cage from sliding down. In the Fall, it gets opened up a touch....
Well it does get cold here in Germany. Minus 10 minus 15 degrees. But I never had the feeling of freezing balls or balls that wamted to slide up. Sure they do it and it itches a bit. But i never had the necessarity to do something against it.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has worn a sock during cold weather. Its a very effective way to stay warm.
And reusable handwarmers in the sock does wonders when its cold in combonwith some vaseline under the sack. I had a lot of ballslip last year with the cold. I adjusted the ring to 46.5mm (45 is just a bit to small) and didn't had a ball escaped in 4 months (yes it was summer but i had a occasionaanbod slip also in the summer.)
I guess I’m in the minority here. The way my balls hang when it’s too warm makes a it a little less enjoyable. More movement and repositioning. Slightly more friction and discomfort. The security feels a little compromised. I prefer the colder temperatures where everything is nice and tight and not going anywhere. Why I wear a lot of loose clothing. Even in winter I’ll sit around in shorts… and definitely a reason avoid denim!
I've started to notice some discomfort in the past days. Mostly it's just the burning feeling on the scrotum. But that can be solved by just moving the ring a bit. Maybe I will start to put some cream down there, when I know, that I will be in the cold for a longer period of time. But I fear, that this could potentially lead to a ball slipping through the ring (it happened 2-3 times the last weeks. I think the gap between ring and cage is a little too big)
Hmmmmm..... I've never noticed a problem but last winter was the first that I was in chastity. But I went on 2 long ski trips and never noticed a problem down there. My hands, on the other.... I needed hand warmers.... I suppose you could use one of those in really cold weather.
Being in Russia, I do not feel it's a problem in winter. Just proper warm closes is needed. Albeit I like, when balls tends to go up and the cage clings to the body tightly, which happens when it is cold.
