Surprised by the children

We’ve been empty nesters for two decades and grandchildren aren’t over enough to be an issue, but this is something to think about! If they were 18 I’d just try to explain the truth. If they are 13 I honestly don’t know what I would do. I guess you could make up something medical. After all, a lot of us get involved due to middle age sexual disfunction or disinterest so it would be a half-truth. My thought is that if you are hiding something from your kids it will eventually be discovered if you are not an extremely disciplined person by nature. Even then there is a chance. 20 years is a lot of time for a kid to find everything you’re hiding from them. I’m sure everyone remembers an awkward moment when they saw a parent in a compromising situation.
I’d say you mitigate the risk with a pre-arranged cover story or you don’t take the risk at all. What other choices are there?

 

I was surprised by my adult daughter one day!
I was changing clothes in my bedroom with the door closed, or so I thought! My dog opened the door and my daughter was in the hallway staring at my crotch. My device would be hard not to notice as it’s pink! I covered up as quickly as I could, but the damage was done!

Well our kids are small. 7 and almost 4 years old.

You didn't say how old your daughter was at the time, so not sure how you would've responded if you had to. i Don't think there was any damage done to anyone. Wouldn't worry about it.
