I HAD a partner to keep the key for me but now she is gone. I've got back the key. Any idea of how I can keep the key away from me during a particular period of time so that I cannot have access to the key at all during the period??

Thank you so much for any idea. I don't think I will subscribe to those Mistress service because I am quite distant from them , shipping the key to and fro might probably involves high cost and risk of loss during the shipment (I am in far east )

Find a friend who stays in some other town
Visit him on a weekend and leave the key hidden somewhere in his house, which won't be visible while cleaning
So until you meet him the next time, you will have to stay locked

    Or

Or just ask them to hold a set of keys for you, and include the belt key with them.. I am going to add my key to the set my friend holds , which have house, gate and shed keys on them.. And just tell them it's a new lockbox key spare

i have used some virtual online keyholders. They work well. Most of them have a way to release in an emergency so no worries.

Put them in an envelope addressed to you and put it in the slowest postal service..Then just sit and wait for the postman to knock

Or not as the case may be.... i have SO many letters and parcels go missing ive stopped getting things sent home.
Could get it sent our head office addressed to me... then they would forward the mail up to our local office... that would add another week or so lol

Another spin on the mailing idea ... mail it to yourself but make it hard to read the address or write a neigbor's address and see if they bring it over. We've done the key in frozen ice block and Scarlett once slipped a key into her friends purse - not knowing when she'd see her again (only 3 days but intense). She told me she put both keys in but had one. It was very intense for me.

I heard of someone who swallowed the key. It took about 2 days of going through his crap to find it.

There is a post/thread somewhere in here and it had a web site for a timed metal locking safe. It was a little expensive but you could set it from 1 (one) minute up to a whole year! But as I said, it was expensive but probably well worth it if you do not have a key holder.

I would NOT want to go that route. Unlike coins, keys aren't round. I would be very afraid of the key doing damage on its journey.

Yes, that is the one I was talking about.
It looks like the perfect safe, either using it alone or if you had a key holder. But it is a little expensive for me.
