I'm wearing a MM Jailbird. I've adjusted ring size a couple of times. Mistress MM has actually told me my ring is too big based on room in it. When I've gone smaller though it pinches. I just get strong erections at night even after years in the cage.

 

I wouldn't worry so much about how much time you spend in your cage initially. I would focus on trying multiple styles and try and determine your proper size. Theres no point in enduring the pain and discomfort of an ill fitting device. You can actually permenately injure yourself. Chinese devices are very inexpensive usually $15- $20 on ebay. The models A271 (short) or A272 (long) are basically the same device and would be an excellent starting point. Once you're sure of your size find a vendor that can build you a custom stainless piece. I personally prefer my device to be stainless steel for easy cleaning, and light weight for 24/7 comfort. Customer service is also a huge factor incase modifications are necessary. I have owned many devices, but finally settled on a Male Chastity Now "Contender". The device is the lightest custom stainless cage I've found and was delivered within 5 days not six to eight week's like other vendors. The price was around $320. The quality of Mark's work is excellent. MCN also sells some semi custom devices for around $160. Chastity is more of a marathon than a sprint.
