From reading the posts and research, it seems that prolonged chastity causes an atrophe of one's ability to become erect and/or size of erection. We can debate why, but regardless of why, it seems to be a common observation. I have been experimenting with wearing the chastity cage full time but every night or two coming out for 10-15min of using a penis pump to come to full erection, before locking up again. Not only does it leave me feeling more horny, but think that it may be physiologically beneficial. Thoughts? Experiences?
Erections will return to normal after a day or so of being out of chastity, as I’m not permitted to use my penis there is no point in me pumping!
I've seen pumps on ecommerce sites, but have always been skeptical. Like, do they work and how? So, do you care to share? Like, sure, they will pump you up. How long does it stay hard or the minute you stop pumping, will your cock get soft again? Does it get you thicker than normal? Are there some better than others?
I had throught they were a sex toy and novelty. However, I recently learned that doctors/urologists recommend them for 'men's health'. They help with blood flow and healing. This is why I thought they might be helpful for short bursts between chastity. I guess if you never want to have an erection again, then using one might be a bad idea, but if you want to stay chaste but still able to perform, then it *might* be adding to your routine. A typical use scenario might be 10mins every day or two.

Yes. I had the same initial concern. There are a large number of scientific papers supporting pumping for ED, not just to make it bigger or as a sex toy. I was surprised too. And, nearly all urologists recommend it.
Erections are a joy that is encouraged. I've got a slight ED problem, not always, but sometimes. You say it helps with blood flow which seems to be what ED is all about. So are you saying it helps with blood flow long term. Like 10 minutes a day may make ED less likely? You may have sold me. Do you have a feeling for which one(s) are better than others?
My understanding is this - during the night, your body will send bloodflow to the penis and you will have full or partial erections during sleep. This is vitally important for healing, and keeping everything working tip top. When in chasity, this isn't possible. Hence why it might be an add on.
Maybe we should all do a case study… Everyone unlock for a month with unlimited number of boners permitted. Then lock up 24/7, except for erection measurements at the end of each month. We can do a 3 month study… For me…I do see some ‘shrinkage’, but definitely no ED. I sum it up to not being able to stretch out, similar to lack of physical activity over a period of time. I know for me, I can’t touch my toes if I go a few days without some ‘stretching’. I’m not concerned at this point of any permanent impact.
Same. In fact my urologist suggested it. Obviously I didn't mention the chastity thing. I went out and bought two. One has a manual pump, the other an electric pump. To be honest I prefer the manual one as I don't like too much pressure or noise. I've tried it for 10mins every night or two and I've found things working much better since! I've typically used enough pressure to get fully hard but not too much more.
I've got no problem getting my morning wood inside the cage. Yes things get tight and I can't get fully erect (maybe 70%), but an amazing positive feeling overall. Perhaps that additional 30% would be good to practice with. But that 10 minutes a day isn't on the schedule ;-)
I'm in the not worried about permanent damage camp. For every article says one thing ten more say another. I'd also think common sense in cages plays a role as well. If you're forcing 5 inches into a 1 inch cage. Or even worse the inverted cages its bound to cause some problems if only temporary.
If you're looking to experiment on yourself, then knock yourself out. However, I wouldn't believe alot of what you might hear online... alot of these myths about bad/weird things happening to you after prolonged chastity are probably from over-hyped ant-chastity propaganda and other rhetorical nonsense. One myth I've often read is "Chastity will shrink your cock and swell your balls!" But everyone I spoke to in this practice thus far told me, they had no such problems even after years of being locked up. Something to take into consideration.
