I think you made the right choice on metal over silicone. I started with Silicone and am now in a metal jailbird. Much better situation for longer term wear. If you're like me you'll be stuck with the night time erections. I just get up and pee. I also always lubricate the base of the ring before going to bed with some lotion. If I forget that step I always get the ball burn in the middle of the night.
