I don’t really remember. Real long term comfort didnt happen until I abandoned my CB6000s and went to a smaller metal cage. It took months to get to the point that I stopped thinking about it (mostly), and it felt weird to have it off (eg. for doctors visit)
For me it was about two weeks before I got used to it and it felt normal. After two weeks I no longer felt it on, stopped looking at in the mirror and stopped touching it.
Like others, finding that “right cage”’is key. I had that maybe 90% in my MM jailbird, but there were still occasional adjustments and issues. Once I got pierced and changed devices, MCN GA2, it feels very odd to NOT be in the cage…mind you this set up is incredibly comfortable and easy to care for/keep clean etc. To answer the original question, I’d say it was a couple of years until we got the cage right, and then several more to where we are today and we’ve been doing this for over 10 years.
I am finding with the Jailbird, there is literally a 1-2mm difference between my balls burning and my balls escaping.....painfully. Very frustrating..
