This is a re-introduction thread of a sort! My wife and I tried chastity for me a few years ago. I have a terrible time keeping off of porn sites and masturbating uncontrollably when alone. Really affected how I interacted with her and treated her, unfortunately... We wrote a contract and gave chastity a shot, but I couldn't tolerate the cage. Lots of hotspots and broken skin! I locked myself up for a similar reason; a years-long jerking off habit combined with a serious addiction to porn was just getting worse as time went on. So, I know how you feel. Welcome, its always tempting to buy a cool looking/impractical cage when you first start out and don't know too much about them but these are rarely comfortable or practical for the long term. The more you are locked and can read other peoples experiences you will figure out what works for you and what doesn't with cages. I bet loads of people give up after their first bad experience with a cage but the reality is unless you get lucky you will end up buy a few before you find a decent one that works well for you.
I can attest to this. In my first year of chastity play, I bought 7 cages, threw out 3 and kept 4... But use only 1 for long term... I would like to swap to my other cages for "Play time", but I became too bloody sensitive after 8 months of chastity and I risk involuntarily shooting my load during the cage swap, so I had to find one that works best for me in the long term and it was my 5th cage. Now I have to keep it on 24/7, save for hygiene upkeep days and the other cages I kept recently became more "Novelty" cages.
This has got to be true for every guy getting into chastity! I probably spent a few hundred dollars on cheap devices. Then I spent at least that much on ONE device with much better quality.
