mens loos needs cleaning every 10 mins i think cos if they are not cleaned then they stink horrible even if you just walk past one. they must pee all over the floors and the walls.

Let's argue the other side ...

I want Gender neutral toilets so that they are cleaner ... men's restrooms are almost always disgusting to the point that sitting in not something I do.

So if we make all toilets gender neutral then they will be clean just like the women's restroom ... Right ... that makes perfect sense ... I'm sure the men would not dirty it up ... LOL

I guess I just argued for not having gender neutral toilets so that the men don't mess up the women's area ... lol

So instead I want to argue for Chastity bathrooms ... who's on board?

ya know... the real problem here is the incessant need for convenience. The multiple person restroom is a matter of treating people like cattle. Just as industrialization created mono cropping which in turn is destroying bee colonies, (not a conspiracy!) multiple person restrooms have created rooms where people are afraid of sex crimes, and urinals have lead to piss all over the place. good one fellas.

 

Honestly, I've never felt comfortable in a public restroom ever. Having the assurance that all in the room at the time are of the same sex might be logical for women, though I doubt it. Somewhere in the statement 'being sure that only people of your own sex' is a slight jab at those that may not fit that rigid definition, even if only subconsciously. I don't think you mean any offense, but defecation and urination have no gender, and are probably the moments best left to the individual only. However, I can understand that certain things are better left alone by XY humans. An example being they do not understand through personal experience what it is to have a menstrual cycle, and are not likely to be carrying an extra tampon. The idea that a restroom is safer by being gender exclusive isn't wrong, but putting strangers behind closed doors together doesn't ring safe no matter how you cut it.

Public Toilets and their provision or lack of are a bone of contention for me.
Perhaps more places willdo like Sheffield Council. Toilets for the public are no longer provided by the council. We are reliant upon pubs shops and eating places to provide them. One or two public parks on the outskirts of the city still have them and they are thankfully still gender specific.. years ago every public park had them almost every bus terminus and there were at least 5 public ones in the city center.

This is a retrograde step the ancient greeks and they were copied by the romans (as usual) had public toilets with running water flowing through them.
None too private, sharing a loo brush in place of paper, but I'm told gender specific.

If the toiltes remain gender specific then everyone has choices which one to use and if any.

No consideration given to old very young or those less able can not be right in 2018.

Also no one seems to thinking of public order. How many men would stand by and watch a man follow their partners and/or children into the toilets. I would not and to hell with the consequences.

Come to think of it . Being a male and noticing the long queues of Females outside the ladies i know that i would n't be waiting at the back of a queue to use one when im desperate and i would be very angry if a queue of Ladies prevented me from taking a pee in the first place. The trough would soon become the floor and i think i might be one who might peed on a seat too.

I heard tell of a man who actually went inside a vacuum chamber ( in a Spacesuit) which was a specially Evacuatable Test Facility Dome in the USA. He was n't in there very long before his tongue started bubbling! They said later that if he has stayed there ; His Blood would boil !

Did i tell you the story of the mens toilets i went into in a Public Library no less? No?
Well , there were all these holes drilled into the wall dividers ! i wonder what they were for?

Something perhaps that it might help you to talk to someone about?
Might I advocate the use of a telephone directory... hard copy or online
Where you might find a qualified person that has experience helping others with similar issues.
That person may even be able to help you find somewhere away from those nasty people somewhere quiet
with a calming pastel colour scheme and pills... lots of pills

When we had schools split by gender I’m sure there were crys that mixed schools would result in many sexual assaults on the female students from the adolescent male ones.

I’m sure something similar was said when black people suffered segregation.

 

This is not inteded as a reflection upon you or your mind set I merely wish to point something out.

I am not sure how you meant your quoted sentence to be taken.
I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that in 1st World Countries the issue of males, other than infants, using the same public toilet facilities as females (or vice-versa) and issues surrounding having seperate public toilets for blacks and whites are anywhere near 'something similar'

I also think your sentence is very open to misunderstanding and could be potentially fuel for debates of a race related nature that quite rightly we on this site thankfully appear to and without any thought, apparent effort, or coercion manage to totally avoid.

In short.. discussion that is race related on this site is necessary, nor do I think it would be welcome, it just does not happen, for us re:TTTWD it is a non-issue I for one would like to keep it that way.
