Changes in cage preference over time

I preferred the padlock too when I first started chastity 7 months ago. I like pulling it to pretend I was trying to break it off to free myself in desperation, but that was just me fooling around with myself. LOL. Also, I wanted to be sure I was able to go out and buy a pair of lock cutters in case I would lose the keys or some other emergency would arise. Over time, I got less concerned about "emergencies" or losing my keys. Also, I noticed that padlocks can rattle and require extra room needed in my underwear. I don't have those 2 problems with internal locks, so now I prefer those over the padlocks.

 

I went through many types before settling on this one. Finally I'm happy with a steel cage, integral lock and I too don't like round rings. I'm always browsing though. There's such a wide variety compared to when I started out.

It took many years for me to finally find one that really worked properly.

Is there some external factor involved? Something unusual effecting you outside of your cage? Changes of weather and life stresses always mess me up and make my lockups all the more difficult.

That would be an external factor alright. I don’t think it warrants a new cage. You should save your money for something better… Maybe an accessory/add-on or something else you might actually need.

My tastes have only changed in that the cage gets more precisely fit and more secure over the last decade. Sometimes I have gone back to plastic from steel for the lightweight, but steel has allowed for some changes in design that make my current cage more comfortable than the plastic version.

 

I think the longer you wear a specific cage and cages in general you learn what bits you like and what works/doesn't sometimes these things don't become apparent for weeks of constant wear. Thats why I suggest newbies do some research pick a cheapish cage find out what works/doesn't with it then try to improve on those with the next one, rinse and repeat until you find your perfect cage then look to get a custom based on that if you wish. Realistically there are well over 20 different variables for a cage it takes a while to work out what works for you.

 

Went through at least 10 cages before we bit the bullet and bought a custom bawr cage. Havnt even thought about another cage since, it's pretty much been locked on me since October. Total game changer.

 

Same here, I went through about 30 mostly cheap cages but im glad I did, the custom BAW I have now is virtually perfect in every way. If I hadn't gone through all those cheap cages I wouldn't have known what works for me to allow me to order the BAW

 

This is true, we bought the last cheap cage 3 times, because it was comfy but kept rusting after a few weeks. Used similar dimensions and size for the custom but as it's much better quality stainless steel it's not eroded at all in 8 months, only downside is my.wife never had a need to let me out unless she wants sex.

Started with Chinese cheap cages and tried a few styles, then grabbed a MCN adaptus and loved it but decided I needed a shorter one for more comfortable wear especially for sleeping. Found a MCN amicus here in the classifieds that was shorter, but wasn’t crazy about the rings for the body of the cage. I've been through....five? ish? Custom cages from Evotion alone. And 3 from Steelworxx before that, just because you learn things and make adjustments. If a cage doesn't come off AT ALL for weeks at a time you learn where the trouble points are and eventually make adjustments accordingly.

Shoutout to Evotion for being able to make the tiniest most minute changes to make the absolutely perfect cage.

....I mean, I've given them a fuck ton of money but hey, at least they're doing it!
