Completely agreed with this. They could have just make some interchangeable sets of cage and retainer ring like other devices in the market.

 

Lori's are one of the longest established chastity makers and have always been entirely bespoke. What you are asking is like asking Neosteel to make several general sizes of their belt. It's no what they do.

Also by doing this I am sure that the Chinese would buy one or two designs, and then mass produce cheap knock offs masivley undercutting Lori's destroying her market and effectively putting her and Mike out of business. Effectively doing what you say wod probably be the end of their business.

 

IMO, I don't believe that will prevent Chinese to enter the market. Sooner or later, Chinese will enter this market.
I have bought 3 Neosteels and 4 Carraras and I will always buy from them even though they are annoyed in term of response.
If my need is quality then I will always buy from them, not from Chinese cranky cheap stuffs.
Copycat is everywhere, you hardly avoid them.
If your target customer is firm and so you differentiate, then you have precisely market and customer with barrier that you create.

 

The difference is that they are hand-crafted custom devices, not mass produced.

So let's, hope Ms Lori can keep going and find another skilled crafts person now Mike has gone.

I hope every one who admires her work, has one of her devices or wants one will support her so that we don't loose one of the most unique chastity device makers out there.

I think it happend over the weekend.

Ms Lori had to let Mike go. From what I can gather he had issues and his work had dropped off a cliff, In terms of quality and spead of production.

Ms Lori could not continue dealing with the issues and the production issues with orders backing up, and decided it was better to get rid of Mike (which must have been difficult as he is her nephew) and look for a new craftsman. So as it stands production is at a halt until a new craftsman is engage.

I think where possible we as a community should try to support Ms Lori. Or she may be forced to close perminently which would be a great loss.

 

If it’s impossible to escape, how to you get the anti pullout ring off when it’s time to use it? I would assume it’s so small, it would be extremely difficult to remove when excited.

 

The ring is easy to get on and off the penis. But once locked in place on the cage at an angle it’s secure. Pulling back in the shaft causes the ring to press down.

 

Do you put the ring on first and then the cage? How does it lock on?

 

You put the ring on and it’s attached to a post with a hole for the locking screw to hold in place.

 

So you have to put your penis in the cage with the post on? And then manage to find the hole and then screw the locking screw on?

 

As far as I know, I have the only Lori tube that has both a PA and a retaining ring. The glans ring helps carry the weight of the tube and makes it even more secure. Good design if you plan to tuck it back. Otherwise pressure on the PA can cause migration.

 

This is why I was opting for a two-piece cage. You could easily get into the bottom half and then lock the top half on.

 

I've dabble with a few varieties and have had a belt from Gernany for many years. I have to modify it to make it inescapable, and help prevent pinching. The black marks on removal aren't pretty.

I'm considering the Lori 2a as described here. I love the small size, inability to escape, and what I assume is the ease for my wife to put it back on after a long teasing session. I love never being able to even see or touch myself and having her in control of my destiny.

It seems like a ring must attach somehow. Isn't there a risk of skin getting pinched by where the ring attaches to the post? Nighttime erections cause movements I can't control and grimacing through the night with pinched skin is not my idea of fun.

 

The clamshell option seems brilliant. As long as nothing gets pinched.

Is there any risk of the unique screw used on a Lori's getting stripped? If phillips head screws get stripped, what's the difference here? Seems like the inserted key system would work better. But I know the Lori's has a stellar reputation.

 

Are there any other cages (non-Lori) with a clamshell design? I hate having to use the stocking method to put a cage on

 

Given tha Lori has stopped production at present due to a falling out with Mike who actually makes the devices, I think it unlikely that we will get to see such wonderful devices for quite a while to come.

I say this with great disappointment as I had been waiting for my 16 with retainer ring for over 9 months!

I have seen no other devices that would match up for non perirced security (non full belt).

I have not seen any other clamshell designs similar.

My sentiments exactly. I hope that Mike or Lori manage to get things together again, or that someone else picks up where they left off with this idea. Short of a piercing, which I’m not currently willing to do, I think it will take either a full belt (by which I mean a waist belt of some type plus a front cage or tube) or a clamshell style cage with a retainer ring to reach the level of security and comfort that I’m looking for.

 

I still hope that i can try this type of device some day.

 

I am super interested in purchasing one of these, but I'm curious to know more about these adjustments - ideally I'd like to be able to make them myself as I move around a lot so it's difficult to get things posted to me. Might the adjustments me something that an end-user could perform?

 

Our device didn't work for us. He wore it for a while, but he could still pull out of the retainer ring. Something on the ring also pinched him terribly several times and he couldn't get it to release. I had to come home from shopping one day to let him out, and that was the last time we used it. By the time I tried to contact them to get it fixed and resized, (because Lori made him question his initial, accurate measurements) they had closed up shop. We tried to have a local shop resize just the retainer ring, but it still pinches him terribly, at least once per day.

Ours is completely useless.

 

Lori is opened back up , have you reached out to them to see if you can have it adjusted?
