Why are you piercing so far down? Is there a reason?

 

That doesn’t sound right, my first captive ring was 3/4” inside diameter so that was the distance from the tip. Later stretched to my current 6mm.

 

I'd honestly consider using a tetherspout form badass workshop instead. It's just as secure and it isn't nearly as intrusive. There's also no recovery period (well, maybe a day if you were rough putting it in).

 

I am still confused by your message. By "lower" do you mean closer to the tip?

 

since i pierced puck myself i felt more comfortable with a 14 gauge piercing needle and put in a 12 gauge curved barbell (tight fit). healed and ready for sex in 10 days. i started stretching it a couple weeks later with progressively larger barbells which never interfered with piv.

 

I told my piercer that the PA was going to be used for Chastity. She recommended farther down the shaft for that exact reason. More meat to hold it with. Plus less of a chance of migrating.
As for piercing diameter. Less painful and blood with smaller needle diameter. Then once heeling is done, you can start stretching up in diameter. I wear a 1 1/8 curved barbell when not locked in chastity for reference.

 

I started off with a 4mm
and following advice had a 6mm put in there before it had heeled
that was decades ago and once healed I have never had anything approaching discomfort or concerns about the piercing

 

There are a few questions that arise.
For example, is your BF cock circumcised? Does he have the frenum intact?
If he is cut, the PA is usually done on the spot where the frenum used to be.
I would also say that, for chastity purposes, the best is to place it as far back as possible (1.5 to 2 cm from the tip).
Independently of the initial thickness (some piercers prefere to do thinner holes) you should mention that you pretend to enlarge it to a certain thickness. The thicker you want it the further back the initial hole should be.
Keep in mind that it is normal that the opening of the tip will also stretch.
I had mine done with a 10ga and quickly (6months) arrived to a 5mm thickness (I am now at 6mm and don't plan to enlarge further). The hole was about 1.5 cm from the tip. This has now reduced due to the stretching of the hole at the tip (urethra's opening) and it's about 1.2 cm.
