Well, some of that stuff just comes with time. I eventually stopped getting turned on just by wearing the cage. Now it's just an extension of my body.

Been locked 24/7 since early June

1. That's sorta the point. After a day or two your libido will chill out

You don’t have to be locked 24/7. It can remain a fantasy. There’s nothing wrong with that. I wouldn’t be able to stay locked if it weren’t for my wife. I just think it’s impossible for the vast majority of people to stay locked without having an active keyholder. Some people can do it but I think they are exceptions to the rule.

I know I can never do "long term" locking for several reasons.

The main reason is that I take my cage off every day or every other day for showering. Sounds like you just need a better cage

Try to stick to one that's a little smaller than your dick when soft. It should be a snug fit (but not so snug that it cuts off circulation of course). But also look for one with a lot of open spaces built into the design so you can still clean down there when showering.
