Metal or 3D printed plastic?

Metal by far had both and the jailbird is clean never smells and very comfortable

 

I vote it comes down to personal preference.

Mine is for 3d printed surgical nylon, it's lightweight, I forget its there sometimes, and with the right design can go a while without cleaning.

 

Definitely metal. Easy to keep clean, harder to escape from.

 

I do like metal. Especially the jewelry grade stainless my MaleChastityNow cage is made from.

Since it’s an open design and made from narrower stock than most, it’s 56% of the weight of a similar sized MM Jailbird.

I love that there’s 3D printed plastic too. I have a cage from Evotion but since I discovered I can get through metal detectors in my GlansArmor2 I don’t have an excuse to be unlocked.

 

Metal, I like the open bars for cleaning and the added weight the device has. Also, the most important part, my wife loves the look. She is especially happy during the summer when the sunlight reflects off of the device.

 

This is such a personal choice. I’m sure there is a range of opinions. For me, I like my custom designed cherry keeper plastic. With thinner bar profile of 3mm and a couple bars removed for easy cleaning, it’s so light and livable. It never really needs to be removed except when my KH wants to remove it. It has a similar profile as many metal bar cages. There are some light metal cages, but nothing as light as what I’m wearing.

 

Go with the metal . Easier to keep clean and no smell .

 

Both are great if the fit is right. I feel more submissive in metal and she gets more turned on by the security (at least the appearance thereof).

 

There are pros and cons to both, and as others have said, it’s down to personal preference. I’ve worn both, and found them both comfortable. At the moment I prefer plastic, as there are so many options you can do with 3D printing now.

I've been wearing metal, mostly. I started out with plastics and resins. Presently I'm using what I think is 3-d printed nylon, a "cobra" cage micro, which is fairly comfortable, and much lighter. It's not as open as the last wire metal cage, but definitely lighter. Zero shift between the cage and the ring. I'm home for a few days and picked this one up. It will go in my bag, when I go back out in the field shortly.

I happened to be glancing at the screen when my bag ran through an x-ray a few days ago, in Korea. Metal reflects, and nothing brighter in that bag than the cage. NO question what it was. A few smirks from the guys by the monitor. The plastic would be closer to invisible.

Not really criteria for determining what to wear, but then when traveling, every ounce counts if one is living out of that bag. Plastic is lighter, and it doesn't pull down as much when hanging on one's privates, either.

 

Metal is the best; secure and the sissy knows there is not way out unless the KH agrees. For me, the stainless steel Nub is best, It is totally secure with a steel waist band, there is only a slight bulge, the balls are totally exposed and venerable for the KH pleasure.

 

I've had both and prefer metal.

 

Surgical nylon is best, but I think only one maker does that. Next steel. Ordinary plastic, printed or otherwise, picks up scents.

Honestly, I think “both” is a good answer. I have a GlansArmor2 from @MaleChastityNow and a Bijou by @Evotion Wearable, and the single use plastic “perma locker” by @JosieLynn Jewell on Shapeways.

I also have a Contender and an Orion and a CherryKeeper. (Not to mention Lori, RigidChastity, Steelworxx, HolyTrainer and the CB-6000) My wife puts me in ball trap to give me extra chastisement when I need erection denial to humble me.

When I self locked, I would buy a lot of cages. Since my wife took over my chastity, and became my keyholder, I’ve stopped sticking my dick into everything I could find. Heh. It was a form of masturbation, changing cages (even though I didn’t stroke for the 5.5 years leading up to March 2020)

For me, jewelry grade stainless steel allowed me to go 24/7. I could finally keep clean and sleep. Other men here have done great in 3D printed devices. There’s a guy who’s been caged in a Kink3d cobra cage for almost 18 months straight now.

But I went through many cages before I found my “forever” cage.

 

Out of curiosity, how much does your plastic cherry keeper weigh?

 

I think its personal preference. I have had MANY plastic cages, off the shelf and custom printed. for me it was cleanliness issues, smell and being to pull out (she is very serious about security and her property). It was for this reason My wife had me pierced and put in a rigid model 1. It is really easy to clean and truly escape proof. Also the construction is impeccable.

I've always preferred metal figuring it was far more sturdy. But i am now interested in a Cherry Keeper. Mostly because you can get a custom ring size at a much more affordable price. Plus so many wearers mention how comfortable the fit is. So may try one out soon. Thanks for all the feedback, on both sides, for this question.
