Has anyone gone through airport security wearing chastity and how did you explain to TSA why it keeps on setting off the metal detector or is shown in the Tsa X-ray body scan?

Hi @strap0nme and welcome to the site.

There have been lots of discussions on this over the years. I did a search on "airport security" and got 186 hits on the site. ;) That's what makes it such a great resource here. :)

As you can imagine, views are varied between "go for it" and that it is unfair in life to push your kink or lifestyle at others. TSA are just ordinary folk who want a quiet life I am sure, but have probably seen nearly everything - so I suppose it just adds another story they can tell when they have a rest break or go to the bar :p

In Europe the sensitivity of the scanners seems to be variable and a steel cage does not often set it off. When it does the operator has just grinned at me and let me through

I have a trip in April and am going to get a non-metallic cage. I already have the numbered, plastic security locks (well my KH does). We shall see how that works with the TSA folks.

I've worn my all metal Fort whilst accessing buildings (courts) that use security scanners and only have been picked up for having something metal I'd missed in my pocket but not the Fort and not the padlock if I was in any of my Millers CBs.

Whether airport security is different I have no idea.

But don't sweat it, if anyone does detect it sure they will be curious but in all probability given where its worn they will also be embarrassed. Either tell them exactly what it is. Or explain it away by telling them it is a piece of body jewellery that your partner bought you and you wear it to honour her whenever you travel without her.

The odds are they will become confused and let you go, and or maybe just maybe ask to see it first. Though if their scanner has images and is not just a metal detector they have already seen it.

Most scanners only detect metal objects so plastic cages wont show up.
