    I'm sort of free to unlock at specified times at the moment, before gym in the mornings twice a week and before sport one evening. I can stay caged for gym, but I also shave in the shower afterwards so it makes sense to remove beforehand.

    Downside of that is it takes a few hours to get used to having the cage on again, even though it's only off for an hour or so

    No, nothing like that. She decides is the only criterion for being unlocked. Of course, annoying her in any way will definitely mean staying locked

    No rules for being allowed to unlock. I ask permission if I have a medical exam or if chafing develops. There's nothing (that I know of) that I can do to earn an unlock. It is up to Mistress' whim.
