I was only responding specifically what I quoted above my post. It is regularly claimed on this site there is no medical evidence that ejaculation infrequency has detrimental health effects. I am only challenging that assertion. I make no other claim.

But you’re incorrect. The research finds a correlation, which is not a relation of cause and effect. It might, for example, be the case that there is some third unknown factor that leads some of those who eventually develop prostate cancer to have a reduced frequency of ejaculations prior to the appearance of symptoms.

 

It seems intuitively likely that the majority of those who have a lower frequency of ejaculations do so for reasons other than conscious self denial or imposed abstinence; for example, by virtue of having a lower sex drive. Many (if not most) practitioners of chastity appear to have a strong drive to ejaculate, albeit countered by a secondary impulse to frustrate that drive (or tolerate its frustration by a third party).

 

If we take the correlation found in the study and restate it in inverted form as evidence that rampant shaggers and wankers have a reduced risk of prostate cancer then it’s intuitively plausible that people submitting to chastity constitute a distinct outlying group with a closer resemblance to those with higher EF than lower. Certainly the anecdotal evidence of testimony on this website suggests that men in chastity are pretty much obsessed with wanking, to the point that they use bizarre equipment and rituals to transform their lives into one endless edging session, which they then interminably document.

 

I, for example, have a lifetime EF that’s through the roof since I was at it several times a day for about 45 years. Then more recently my stats plummeted to zero and flatlined. Time will tell if I get prostate cancer - and whether I do or not it won’t prove anything.

 

I think the important distinction here is that urologists suggests cumming at least every week or two. Not every day. And there is no reason that can't go hand in hand with chastity.

 

It would give a degree of perspective if the OP was to ask his urologist about his own masturbatory habits. It might be that he is a bit of an erotomaniac and is allowing his own values to colour his advice.

So nice try. It’s evidence. Not conclusive poof, but evidence. But, please go ahead and submit your correction to Pub Med, I’m sure they’ll print a retraction.
