My apologies to you @LadyMoon and @L-u-c-y i never imagined that it was that big of a problem. I person am not on LinkedIn, Fetlife, Twitter and hardly ever go on face book. Yes I live a very private life and could be considered old fashion. What I don't understand is why people in today's society have to put them selves out to the world in so many ways.

No you shouldn't have to avoid sites where men can send rude messages but can't you somehow just ignore then or filter them first. If getting these messages bothers a person than why are we continuing to subject our selves to the harassment their has to be some way to control what you recieve.

My Uber Superwife Domina Chiannaa gets many of these kinds of solicitations. A few are funny but most are just rude. I sew...I'd sew for my Domina if she would ask me to.

On some sites, yes, you can filter messages or choose to only receive messages from users on approved lists. But no, on the majority of sites, those options aren't there. Even on this very site, I have to remember to mark myself as "Invisible" or "Offline" on the Chat box every time I log on, so that I don't get a bunch of messages popping up while I'm browsing. When I forget, it's very likely that someone I've never talked to before will try to engage me in a conversation.

Can I just ignore these messages and delete them without even reading them? Yes, that's an option. I guess my sin here is being optimistic that a stranger will have something worthwhile to say -- that whole "hope" thing.

Everyone is searching for something and this lifestyle can be more extreme than others. I also believe that often rudeness comes with naivety and fear. A little education may be necessary at times, it costs a small bit of time. Persist with unwanted messages, then miss out on something quite special.

 

It's sad that so many men need to act that way. Staying away works for me but I'm not into your kind of lifestyle. It just seems sad that theirs not someway to screen the creepy people first. No one deserves to be harassed in any way even if it's on line. I Honestly feel sorry for you ladies that you have to put up with that kind of crap. Not living your life on line is old fashion I agree. I'm ok with that but that's no longer the norm. Isn't their some way to like rate them so after awhile you know even before you make contact. Kinda like they do on PayPal. After so many bad ratings no one will respond to them. If we could only filter out the bad to get to the good

 

It saddens me that some so called men make it difficult for others. Not everyone is ugly like you already mentioned. It is promising to see that some sites have filters In place already.

As I said to LUCY it's sad that you get harassed. No one deserves that. Sometimes my simpler life seems much easier. I hope it gets better for you and all ladies that connect with people in this way.
